ZOMG! He only threw for a career high 4,700 yards along with 33 TD's... You sure are reaching for ANYTHING you can grasp on to continue ragging on our team. Just shut up. Go comment on your own team. Because if i sunk down to your level i would be in their every single day ripping the Raiders on how much they are going to suck next season. Which they will.

Whatever. I just posted an article about Manning in the 'Manning thread'.

You can take it or leave it. Clearly scouts have documented Manning loss of velocity on the ball in 2010. As we all know, stats never tell the whole story. 2010 Manning was not at his usual form. More INTs, through some games away late, etc.

So it begs the question after a year off, the neck injury what can we expect?

EDIT:

Just to play off your lust for stat posting. Keep in mind that his 'career high' in yardage came throwing 108 more balls than in 2009 where he through for 4500. He completed an additional 57 passes.

What can we expect? We can certainly expect a 2-0 record vs. the Raiders. We can expect 5-6 tds and 650+ yrds from Manning in those games. We can expect 5-6 turnovers from Carson Palmer. We can expect a 10+ win season even with the presumably tough schedule ahead. We can expect a 6-7 win season from Oakland. We can expect him to lead us to the playoffs. We can expect you to be watching the Broncos play on tv in anger, rooting for us to lose.

What we CAN'T expect? You to stop trolling, you to be reprimanded for it, or for you to start spending as much time in your own team's forum as you do in this one.

Applause This is blatant trolling. He does it to get a rise and nothing more. He could care less of the merrits of the argument and only whether or not it upsets the forum. Typical Palooka

Interesting read. An in-depth behind the scenes examination of how EXF brought in Manning.

Great article, but had to chuckle at this:
Quote:
That was Manning's kind of stat. As was the next. "In your 14 years in Indianapolis," Fox said, "the Colts averaged 26 points per game. In my 10 years as a head coach [with the Panthers and the Broncos], when our teams scored 26 points or more, our record is 39--3."

Pretty sure that we didn't add much to the 39-3 record last season considering we couldn't even score two TDs a game. Very Happy

I posted an article on Mannings 2010 season and a scouts take on his velocity on the ball.

How is that trolling?

Denver homers consider trolling any opinion that doesn't reflect their own.

Notice, nobody is calling out ihatepotholes for asking about Manning's weight?

Interesting . . . . . .

That's phenomenal work by Peter King.

Outstanding read; thank you VERY much for posting it.

That is a great article.

I can't believe how perfect EXF played this whole thing. Their patience and determination is the sole reason Peyton is a Bronco. If Elway was not a part of this organization, I have a hard time believing that Peyton would have picked Denver. Finally, we have a committed, competent front office.

I think that if they had made that "one final push", he'd be a Titan or Niner right now.

Ah . . . you guys love me. Otherwise, I'd get the silent treatment. Admit it. You love having someone to argue with as much as I do.

And for the record, I think Denver is a 10 win team if the season started today. The Manning move put them in the driver's seat for the division. If they can tweak some things on defense (mainly DT) they will be dangerous.

I don't think Manning will be the Manning of old, but he doesn't have to be. I expect him to be inline w/ Elway in his later years. A run game to make his life easier. He won't be asked to carry the offense solely.

And to be clear on the Raiders. Palmer is going to make people eat crow. He's a good QB who was in a bad situation last season. Like Manning, he will benefit from a strong running game. Jackson was asking him to carry the offense w/out McFadden. Won't be the case this year.

As potent as the offense can be for Oakland, the defense is another story. They will not be historically bad like last year, but they have too many holes to expect a Houston Texans like turnaround. Though scheme will help.

Raiders are a 7-8 win team right now IMO. But a bit of a wildcard, because of the learning curve of the FO and coaches. Boom or bust rebuilding season.

If the Raiders are a 7-8 win team then you might as well say the Broncos and Chiefs, and Chargers are 10+ win teams... Because they are all better than Oakland. But i assume you dont think that's true. And if you don't then you are the homer.

I can't wait for Manning to go against the Raiders defense with your main pass rusher Matt Shaughnessy and your 2 CB's that are average AT BEST. Speaking of those CB's. Both of them combined for 6 tackles last season. Laughing Both Bartell and Spencer are injury prone, and lack physicality. Spencer has only played in 3 full seasons in his 8 year career... Your fans might think he is good because he was on the 49'ers , when in fact he did absolutely nothing for that amazing defense last year.

You post an article about Peyton Manning declining, with 1 SCOUTS OPINION!! Wow that must make it true!! Thank goodness Palooka is here to set us all straight about Manning's health.

We don't like you. Your annoying. You spout of constant nonsense about our team and act like whatever you say is the truth. I would LOVE to bring up your predictions for last years team. It was the biggest joke in the history of predictions... Then you want credit after Tebow left for saying the FO never wanted him... Are you high.,..? It's been known since last years training camp how EFX felt long term about Tebow. Your a fool if you think you "predicted" that in any way whatsoever.

Oh but i forgot. Whatever you say goes... I must have forgotten that you know more about football then all of us.

By the way Oakland's running game isn't nearly as scary without Michael Bush to backup the injury prone machine that is Darren McFadden...

Matter of opinion. Because the Raiders are not making headlines in FA, it's easy to overlook. KC is getting a lot of attention because they're active in FA. But who's their QB? And can Crennel be a HC?

Oakland's offense is potent. They shored up the Oline some more despite having one of the better units a year ago. Palmer has an offseason w/ the team which is key. Defense is the question. Scheme will be a big part of what makes or breaks them.

Division is wide open. Rivers, Palmer and Manning are all solid QBs. KC brings the most defensively where as the others are mixed bag. Some good pieces but some holes.

If you watched Bartel play, he's pretty good. He's had 1 injury. Does that make Manning injury prone by definition? Bartel is also a very physical CB. Fitzgerald says he's the toughest he's faced. I'll take his opinion over the likes of you.

Spencer. He's injury prone? Started 32 straight games in SF, pulled a hamstring in TC last year and lost his starting spot.

End of the day, FA and the draft are not over. They will add more pieces. The CBs with the addition of Bartel and Spencer are still miles better than what the Raiders had to work w/ a year ago. And keep in mind the HC is a former DB coach.

How do you know it was one scout? They referenced more than one. Also, the media was talking about it all 2010.

Just because you don't agree with it, you don't like it. That's your MO. I lived in Denver, I know your type. You're the cliche Denver homer fan. You probably wear 'Hurley', 'Billabong', 'Quicksilver' shirts and the like. Wear your hat backward because you think it makes you look cool. I know they type. Little homer Denver fan boys. Used to run into them on every block in Colorado. Same look, same disposition.

Don't know what makes you think this. I don't pretend to know more about football. This site is for debate and discussion. Your temperament right now is predictable. I post something negative about Manning, you go 'fan boy homer', flip that cap backward and get your panties in a bunch.

All I did was post an article for discussion and you starting getting all wanna-be alpha male dude. Laughing Laughing
