I don't think anyone can be too surprised by Thomas' comments. It seems clear that Thomas has been watching film of Tebow not hitting open guys, which can't surprise anyone.
That said, there was no need to come and blast the guy. Especially when Thomas dropped a fair few balls last year. _________________ 20 TIMES, 20 TIMES MAN UNITTTTTEEDDD

I agree. Bey-Bey had the 2nd most recieving yards in the ENTIRE NFL the last 5 weeks of the season. And that's not including the 10 passes he caught in 2 playoff games for 297 yards... Tim Tebow put you on the freaking map, and your going to come out and blast him the way you just did? That's pretty low...
Do i need to get the video for Demaryius of him dropping a WIDE OPEN 60 yard bomb that he flat out dropped...? Like i said, Tim wasn't the best QB, but he did a lot of great things for you. Thought out of anyone Demaryius would have been the saddest to see Tim go as they had pretty great chemistry together.
He made it official that he didn't like playing with him, and a lot of Broncos did not like Tebow Time...

| DT better be carefull about his comments. Manning can make all the reads and won't hesitate to throw it to Decker and others if DT develops a case of the stone hands again or runs lazy routes like his is known to do. Manning is already developing chemistry with Decker and I wouldn't be suprised if he has a much bigger year than DT. DT should be focusing on his current QB and instead of trashing on his old one. |

Thomas making his "self-centered" complaints about not getting enough balls thrown to him shouldn't surprise anyone. First, Tebow's ability to throw the ball was atrocious, and there for everybody to see. And yet we won enough games to win the AFC West, AND a Playoff game, ironically on the strength of Tebows arm. I was anxious to see what improvements Tebow made in the off-season right up to the point when we got a chance to get one of the greatest "Classic Passers" to ever play the game, Peyton Manning. What other choice would any sane team make?
My big problem with Thomas is seemingly putting himself ahead of the "Team". That, and his involvement in the Cox rape case, tells me that this guy has some serious "Character" challenges. Considering Thomas inability to stay healthy up until this past season, you'd think the guy would be a little more humble. And it's one reason I'd like to see the Broncos at least consider Stephen Hill in the upcoming Draft.

Honestly, there's nothing wrong with what he said. He didn't "put DT on the map", DT made as much of the plays as Tebow did, and half the people watching don't remember that DT did any of what he did anyway. It was all Tebow, which as a player, I can see where you would get frustrated. _________________

Honestly he basically is saying he was annoyed w/ Tebow being talked about like he was only guy on this team. I wouldnt say he's acting like a me first guy because he mentions Tebow time was team effort and they wouldnt be in game if it wasnt for defense.
I don't put it as much of a slight against Tebow as much as it is against media. Though he took a shot w/ sayinghe missed open guys. _________________

I don't see anything wrong with what DT said. He was being honest and didn't really say anything bad about Tim besides he misses open throws sometimes which is true.
Also to say Tebow put DT "on the map" is just silly. Tebow was not a good QB, he's a good football player, but he has a ways to go before he can be considered a good QB. If anything DT made Tebow look good. The passes Tebow did complete were very simple passes and didn't require him to make any reads. Also he was able to pass against defenses stacked with 8 in the box. That's as easy as it gets. I like Tebow, but I'm not going to act like a homer and say ridiculous statements like Tebow was a great passer, he made his WR's look good, etc. _________________ Broncos-Bulls-Cubs-CU-Blackhawks |

Thomas made Tebow look good on occasion. With the defense the Steelers were playing, He could have gotten a screen and took it to the house or just a fly.
Sure, Tebow hit that slant well but you shouldn't even be in the NCAA if you can't hit a WIDE open slant. _________________

To me, it isn't what he said - it is the fact he said it. From a professionalism standpoint, you just don't say those kind of things. I have explained before that I actually like my players to be boring robots that don't create controversy. Sure, it would make Twitter and everything else kind of boring, but at least it wouldn't affect anything from a locker room harmony perspective. _________________ 20 TIMES, 20 TIMES MAN UNITTTTTEEDDD

Agreed 100% lomaxgr.
DT stepped out of bounds here. Id like to know the context of the interview though. How were the questions asked, ya know. Also, Tebow in every interview he gave it was always "Bronco Time" not "Tebow Time". His one comment alone kinda makes me feel its all about DT a little. _________________

Here is DT talking about what he said about Tebow:

PS: Excuse my double post, but here and in the specific DT Tebow comments thread discussions are fruitful, so I don't know where to really post it in. _________________
