San Francisco trades 2006 round 1 (6) 2006 round 2 (38) and 2007 round 1 to Houston Texans for 2006 Tound 1 (1)

New York Jets trade DE John Abraham to Denver Broncos for 2006 1st round (29)

1. San Francisco 49ers via Houston Texans Team Needs CB RB DE WR
Reggie Bush RB USC
San Francisco has been desperate for playmakers the past couple seasons. They move up to get Bush to improve their run game and put some bodies in the stadium....Tee Shirt sales should double. Bush will be happy to see former teammate Alex Smith.

2. New Orleans Saints Team Needs QB LB DT TE
Matt Leinart QB USC
This was the pick they wanted fromt he day they benched Aaron Brooks. Leinart will probably have 1st year growing pains as all QBs that get thrown right in do...but rest assured by 2007 hes gonna start bringing the team up.

3. Tennessee Titans Team Needs QB OT OLB S
Vince Young QB Texas
I've seen some other mocks where maybe the Titans are scared cause of the 6 score at the combine. But the realistic need is QB McNair had a great career but his contract, age and previous injuries give him 1 more season. After McNair retires who do they have?

4. New York Jets Team Needs OT RB DE QB DT
D'Brickashaw Ferguson OT Virginia
Ferguson is so good he can even keep Martin healthy and give him one last good season. Looked great at the Senior Bowl and will fill one of the Jets top needs. If they dont work out a deal with Pennington is possible they go with Cutler here.

5. Green Bay Packers Team Needs DT DE RB LB G
LenDale White RB USC
I know I'm in the minority here cause some Packers fans think Gado is the future. Hawk and Williams could easily be the pick but my gut and the rumors say White so thats where I'm going.

6.Houston Texans via San Francisco 49ers Team Needs OT C S WR TE
Mario Williams DE North Carolina State
Texans gamble and win...maybe they should move to Vegas. Personally I think LT should be the top priority but they are rumored to have fallen in love with Williams at the Combine. Kubiak probably believes he has enough talent to turn the Offensive Line around without taking Ferguson.

7. Oakland Raiders Team Needs DT LB DE CB S
Jay Cutler QB Vanderbilt
Raiders cap problems are gonna force the release of Collins. I havent been too impressed with the other QBs on their roster and Cutler has been flying up charts.

8. Buffalo Bills Team Needs DT OT CB S
Haloti Ngata DT Oregon
Buffalo couldnt stop the run at all last year and now they fix the situation for the next decade or so. Ngata is big fast and well big. He will make a huge difference in run defense.
He is gonna fit like a glove in the Bills defense. Cant see the Bills going any other way if hes here.

9. Detroit Lions Team Needs DB OG OT ILB
A.J. Hawk OLB Ohio State
Could go Huff here but somehow Hawk is still on the board (guess LB still gets over looked a bit)....the good news about there position is they know there is gonna be a ton of talent when they pick.

10. Arizona Cardinals Team Needs OT G C DT QB MLB S
Michael Huff CB/S Texas
Huff has the talent to go even higher but the Cards will gladly take him here and solidify their secondary. After this they can try to get a couple more players and compete this year.

11. St. Louis Rams Team Needs CB LB DE DT
Vernon Davis TE Maryland
The greatest show on turf gets better? Davis ran faster then any TE in the history of the combine and looked very good in all their drills. If the Texans and 9ers dont make the trade its possible that Davis could go as high at 6. Defense must be addressed this draft but its too hard to pass on the talent Davis has. Trade down also possible.

12. Cleveland Browns Team Needs NT OT DE CB
Broderick Bunkley DT Flordia State
Browns are in an interesting position here but take Bunkley because he can probably play NT and can collapse the pocket from the inside. Romeo is going defense here and will start changing the way other teams view the Browns.

13. Baltimore Ravens Team Needs RB CB OT LB C
DeAngelo Williams RB Memphis
Ravens are a run 1st team and have no backs left on their roster. Lewis will not return and they replace him here. Rumor has it they love Williams big play ability even though White is alot more the same style back Lewis was.

14. Philadelphia Eagles Team Needs OLB DE WR TE QB
Manny Lawson OLB/DE North Carolina State
Lawson would make an excellent Eagle. Reminds alot of the late great Derrick Thomas. Hes big, fast and knows how to rush the QB.

15. Atlanta Falcons Team Needs S CB RB DE
Tye Hill CB Clemson
Hill is probably the best CB in the draft in terms of coverage ability.

16. Miami Dolphins Team Needs QB OLB LT CB
Jimmy Williams CB/S Virginia Tech
If they want Cutler they are gonna have to trade up...that said it looks like they are targeting Drew Brees as their new QB. I give the Fins Williams here because it was obvious how much they missed Surtain last season and just cut Madison so I have no doubt his versitility will be used.

17. Minnesota Vikings Team Needs OLB SS RB OL
Chad Greenway OLB Iowa
Greenway had a bad combine and that drops him down to the Vikes....Before I hear how much the Vikes need a RB please realize that they are in great cap shape and can take a top back this offseason....Edge perhaps.

18. Dallas Cowboys Team Needs OT WR OLB S
Jon Scott OT Texas
Jon Scott falling all the way here surprise surprise thats ok though because the Boyz will end his fall...The 2nd half of last season their offensive line was abused and needs an upgrade.

19. San Diego Chargers Team Needs WR OT S CB
Ko Simpson FS South Carolina
This was a tough call between OT and S. The offensive line has needed an upgrade for years but the secondary was rated soemthing like 28th overall.....So they take Simpson a regular ballhawk that can improve the more immediate of their needs.

20. Kansas City Chiefs Team Needs CB DE OT WR
Antonio Cromartie CB Flordia State
Chiefs have already cut 2 of their CB in salary cap moves makign this a bigger need then DE DT or WR. If they can get their secondary in order they will definately be in the playoff hunt next season.

21. New England Patriots Team Needs ILB OLB S RB WR
Santonio Holmes WR Ohio State
Shocked to see this? The pats never had a great receiver on their Championship teams good but not great and if Holmes drops this far I think they will overlook their defensive needs.

22. Denver Broncos via Wahington Redskins Team Needs S DT OT WR
Darnell Bing SS USC
If they can make that trade happen for Abraham and get Bing here they are gonna be very very happy. Bing is outstanding and will get to learn from Lynch an all time great this coming season.

23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Team Needs OT DE OLB CB
Marcus McNeill OT Auburn
Even though their offensive line played better then expected...Imagine how good the Caddy will run when the line improves here....besides McNeill already knows how Caddy likes the blocking.

24. Cincinnati Bengals Team Needs SS DE DT OG TE
Leonard Pope TE Georgia
Probably should go defense here but Pope is just too good to pass up and is possibly hte last piece of the Bengals offensive puzzle.

25. New York Giants Team needs OLB LT CB DT
Winston Justice OT USC
Justice will be taken here as a bodygaurd for Eli and he will love every second of it.....Justice may have a couple minor issues but he seems to have matured out of it.

26. Chicago Bears Team Needs TE OLB WR OL CB
Mercedes Lewis TE UCLA
The last of the big 3 TEs. Bears were probably hoping for Pope but Lewis is still an immediate upgrade over every TE on the current roster.

27. Carolina Panthers Team Needs WR TE RB OLB
DeMarco Ryans OLB Alabama
Wanted a TE here but have to move to plan be and continue working the defense. If one of the top 3 TEs somehow makes it here it becomes their pick...still Ryans will find a home on an already good defense.

28. Jacksonville Jaguars Team Needs TE CB RB LB OG DE
Tamba Hali DE Penn State
They are already more then set at DT but now make the move to make the front 4 even more dangerous. Hali has the ability to go much higher but in evey draft some players just slip a little.

29. New York Jets via Denver Broncos Team Needs S DT OT WR
Mathias Kiwanuka DE Boston College
They use Kiwi to replace the traded Abraham. Kiwi will be cheaper and hopefully want to be in New York a bit more the Abraham did.

30. Indianapolis Colts Team Needs RB LB OL DT
Laurance Maroney RB Minnesota
This is probably a dream senario for the Colts. Edge is more then likely gone and if a top 4 back makes it all the way down to 30 they will not hesitate.

31.Seattle Seahawks Team Needs WR OG DB
Max Jean-Gilles OG Georgia
Hutchinson is expensive and Gray is 35. If Alexander wants to repeat his success in 2006 they have to keep the interior strong.

32. Pittsburgh Steelers Team Needs WR C OLB FS

Nick Mangold OC Ohio State
Top Center in the draft and looked good at the combine...they may consider a top OLB or even WR Nance here.

Round 2

33. Houston Texans
Eric Winston OT Miami
Winston ran well at the combine...and was once considered to be a top tackle in the draft. Potential franchise LT. Even if he did lose a little Kubiak will bring out his best.

34. New Orleans Saints
D'Qwell Jackson ILB Maryland
Alot of good LB on the board and thats just what the Saints defense has been dying for for the past several seasons.

35. Tennessee Titans
Ernie Sims OLB Flordia State
Titans would love to have a LB like Sims on their team its a no brainer pick.

36. New York Jets
Gabe Watson DT Michign
This will be the year the Jets stop the run.

37. Green Bay Packers
Bobby Carpenter OLB Ohio State
Packers need just about eveything on defense.

38. Houston Texans via San Francisco 49ers
Chad Jackson WR Flordia
So far so good for the Texans filling alot of needs with great value so far.

39. Oakland Raiders
Jesse Mahelona DT Tennessee
They already cut Washington so they could use another top DT here.

40. Buffalo Bills
Daryn College OT Boise State
Bills look for a little help protecting J.P.

41. Detroit Lions
Taitusi Lutui OG USC
Detroit needs to give Harrington time and open a hole or 2 for KJ and this is the man that can do it.

42. Arizona Cardinals
Davin Joseph OG Oklahoma
Joseph is a complete gaurd that will help a very poor run game for next season.

43. St. Louis Rams
Ashton Youboty CB Ohio State
Rams secondary definately needs soem help over here.

44. Cleveland Browns
Jeremy Trueblood OT Boston College
Offense is almost put together and soon they can focus all their energy on defense.

45. Baltimore Ravens
Ryan O'Callaghan OG California
The interior of the Ravens line is a mess no other way to say it...If they hope to run the ball they will need more then a RB.

46. Philadelphia Eagles
Sinorice Moss WR Miami
A WR like moss could go very well with last yeas Brown.

47. Atlanta Falcons
Donte Whitner FS Ohio State
Whitner is both fast and agressive. He can cover and he he is agressive in run support...
Even Scar has to like this pick

48. Miami Dolphins
Thomas Howard OLB UTEP
We all know the Fins have needed an upgrade at LB for some time and here its also a good value.

49. Minnesota Vikings
Jason Allen CB/S Tennseese
Vikes go safety here as part of the youth movement.

50. Dallas Cowboys
A.J.Nicholson OLB Flordia State
Nicholson has a couple character issues but Parcells can fix that.

51. San Diego Chargers
Andrew Whitworth OT LSU
Chargers line did better then expected in 2006 but that was due solely to coaching....Imagien if they had some talent too?

52. Kansas City Chiefs
Derek Hagan WR ASU
Hagan will be an instant starter on an aging and undersized receiving corps.

53. New England Patriots
Abdul Hodge ILB Iowa
Pats go back to keeping the middle of the field strong...RB also a possibility here.

54. Washington Redskins
Kamerion Wimbley DE Flordia State
A tweener between OLB and DE but has speed...with a little work and some good coaching he can be a good DE ala Freeney.

55. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Roger McIntosh OLB Miami
Brooks is one of the best all time at OLB but his cap numbers and his age may make him expendable next year or possibly this year.

56. Cincinnati Bengals
Greg Blue S Georgia
The Bengals dont really need much to compete here. Their offense is set now all they need is a little work on defense.

57. New York Giants
Jonathon Joseph CB South Carolina
Likely to lose Allen in FA so he must be replaced. The GMEN ar elucky theres a good selection at CB still.

58. Chicago Bears
Devin Hester CB Miami (Fl)
At Pro Day he ran 4.27 and has been shooting up draft boards....needs a bit more experience but is a solid athlete.

59. Carolina Panthers
Martin Nance WR University of Miami (Ohio)
Nance is gonna be a great fit here because Steve Smith is small and quick and Nance is big and strong.

60. Jacksonville Jaguars
Dominique Byrd TE USC
Jags have really been craving a TE in this years draft. Missed out in round 1 but take the best of the rest here.

61. Denver Broncos
Joseph Addai RB LSU
Rumor has it they lost confidence in Bell and are even said to be shopping him...if thats true they will need another back on the roster to compete with Dayne.

62. Indianapolis Colts
Kai Parham ILB Virginia
Dungy has been looking for a force in the middle and is lucky Parham is still around.

63. Seattle Seahawks
Maurice Stovall WR Notre Dame
WR corps still needs to catch better and although there WR were good enough to get to the Super Bowl they could use some competition here.

64. Pittsburgh Steelers
Spencer Havner OLB UCLA
Havner is going to come in and challenge to start right away.

Nice pick with Byrd but it's tough to say the Jags would take Hali with their other needs not filled... however he would definatley be the BPA

Good Vikings picks. I really like the first round Vikings pick, and the second rounder is fine. I would have to say that I don't see the 49er's trading up. They have too many needs on that team, such as defensive end, linebacker, and cornerback on defense and more on offense. They wouldn't get rid of picks in this deep deep draft. And I would have to say that with Barlow and Gore that RB is one of the lesser needs on that team.

As much as I would love Reggie Bush on the 49ers, I doubt we would trade away so many draft picks with as much needs as we have. I wouldn't be mad if we did though.

the rams needs are Safety not CB... we lost 3 CBs to IR... we would take a LB with the second rounder

Great lions draft. Hawk would be the perfect pick.

Wimbley would definitely be the pick over Nicholson. Wimbley has perfect size for a 3-4 olb and nicholson doesn't, plus Nicholson has off the field issues and Parcells cant stand that.
