Vernon is going to have more TDs than Alex Smith threw all of last year combined?
Not a chance. |
Personally I question the 15,000 yards more. That seems like a lot |
Ha, I didn't even pick up on that. _________________

I don't think you realize how different Atlanta has been under Smith and Dimitroff. _________________

Nate Solder has a great season, but isn't Top 5 ... yet
2- Markell Carter comes off the PS to record 8 sacks in the regular season
Didn't make the roster in any way, shape or form. Massive fail on this prediction.
3- Stevan Ridley and Shane Vereen score less than 8 rushing TD's between them
Yeah, Ridley had 12 and Vereen had 3...
4- Brandon Lloyd has a Chad Ochocino-esque year
Didn't break out like we'd hoped but was way more productive than Ochocinco
Rest of NFL
1 - Clay Matthews has less than 5 sacks
Had 13.5...
2- Peyton Manning throws more than 16 INT's (1 a game)
Had 11...
3- LaRon Landry goes to the Pro-Bowl
Nope

Nope

SUCCESSFUL PREDICTION
6- Mario Williams records less than 6 sacks
Nope
7- Luke Kuelchey records more than 120 tacklesSUCCESSFUL PREDICTION |

pretty good here. 49ers, Seahawks, Broncos, Redskins, and Colts all made the playoffs with new QBs, but SF would've made it with Smith anyway so that one really wasn't off either. Eight teams made the playoffs who also made it last year, so that one was the only one far off.. Ingram isn't going to be DROY, either. Bolded though are all going to happen or very good predictions at this point. _________________

BOLD PREDICTIONS FOR 2013 (STEELERS)
1. In a scenario similar to last year with David DeCastro, the Steelers don't have to trade up to draft Manti Te'o. Te'o is named the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Year.
2. The Steelers stay relatively healthy, finishing 12-4 and winning the AFC North title. Both Ben Roethlisberger and Troy Polamalu start 15 games, taking the last one off after securing a first-round bye in the playoffs.
3. In his second season with Todd Haley, Roethlisberger is named the Second-Team All-Pro QB by the AP. (Aaron Rodgers is named the First-Team All-Pro QB.)
4. Cortez Allen becomes a household name with seven INTs, becoming the type of "ballhawk" CB that the Steelers haven't had since Rod Woodson.
BOLD PREDICTIONS FOR 2013 (NON-STEELERS)
1. After winning Super Bowl XLVII, the Patriots suffer a Super Bowl hangover, finishing 10-6 with an embarrassing one-and-done playoff appearance.
2. With the departure of Ray Lewis, the continued inconsistency of Joe Flacco and a catastrophic injury to Ray Rice, the Ravens hit the skids, finishing last in the AFC North with a 6-10 record.
3. Despite putting more pieces in place during the off-season, the Colts regress and finish with an 8-8 record, missing the playoffs.
4. Andy Reid coaches the Chiefs to a winning record and a "wild card" playoff berth.
5. Jerry Jones strips Jason Garrett of his play-calling duties but keeps him as his head coach. The Cowboys finish 11-5, winning the NFC East and a playoff game.
6. Brian Urlacher follows Lovie Smith out of Chicago, and the Bears finish last in the NFC North.
7. Despite the return of Sean Payton to the Saints, the Falcons establish themselves as the top dogs in the NFC South with two division titles in a row.
8. Alex Smith is traded to another team, and Jim Harbaugh's experiment with Colin Kaepernick blows up in his face when the 49ers miss the playoffs. (The Seahawks win the NFC West.) |
