Normally this wouldnt be worthy of its own thread, but so far this regime has been extremely transparent in their draft prep. While we cannot expect EXF to come out and say "We'll take player A if he's there at 25" we should be given some insight into what they're looking for in the draft, and be able to analyze their statements to better understand the direction we may take this weekend.

As the tweets pour in I will post them in the original post. I will be using Andrew Mason, Official Broncos twitter and Lindsay Jones twitters to get quotes from the presser.

Maybe not so high on Brockers?

Don't at all expect us to draft a DT in the first round. A trade back seems a lot more likely than I once thought.

Impossible to say what we'll do after that. I have a strong feeling personally that we are looking offense in the first round. Either that or a CB. Elway wants guys to make an impact immediately, and another offensive weapon would do just that.

That being said we may just as easily trade back and then who knows. I also get the vibe that the who DT thing could be a smokescreen.

Interesting tidbits, but what is there really to be read into public comments made just a few days before the draft? I would say not much.

I still think that DT is a strong possibility. My guess is they have maybe 1or2 DT's they like and if they are gone they will wait.

I think CB is a strong possibility. I have said for a while I think Kirkpatrick is the pick if he makes it to 25.

Other than that look for an OL or a trade back.

I don't think DT is out of the question, I just think they're not going to automatically take a DT if he isn't worth the pick.

Guys I think might well be Broncos are Brandon Thompson and Jerel Worthy. Both are pro ready and I feel we might be able to move back and still get one of the.

I'm really starting to think this also.

However, if we pick offense, I really don't have a clue who we pick. Sad

but if we move back out of the 1st after watching all the way to the 25th pick, I will haunt our FO in the afterlife. Twisted Evil

Me neither. I think Konz would be a possibility. Perhaps Martin or even Glenn if he falls. I also know many teams like Bobbie Massie. Although I think 25 is a bit too early. I really have no clue on the offensive end.

Its probably getting old and I have been saying it a lot the past week or 2, but it is all about the passing game for John Elway. Dang near everything he has done since taking over has been to make the team better either throwing the ball or defending the pass.

Whoever Denver picks early in the draft is going to be someone that can effect the passing game. If Denver takes a DT I would bet its Worthy or Still for that reason. I love the fact Elway mentioned pass rushers as I believe the team needs another as there are only 2 real pass rushing threats on the roster.

To be honest I don't think Jenkins is even on the Broncos' board

I really think you should have WRs and RBs on the board. They want impact players, offensively or defensively, I don't think we would shy away from those positions.
