I don't think he'll do much. He's a two pitch pitcher, even if he has some initial success, once hitters start seeing him 2-3 times through the lineup, they'll start to figure him out. There's a reason he was converted to the bullpen in the minors. Really bonehead move from Bobby/the FO/whoever is calling the shots in my opinion.

How long is Bailey out? Just terrible luck for you guys. I watched that final inning and it was brutal. You just had the feeling that the Tigers were going to find a way to win after prince got that hit. It was insanely dumb to pitch him away and shift the infield over that much. If Bailey is out longer than a month, you are going to be in some deep stuff.

Bailey should be back soon after the all star break. So yea he's out a few months.
And in Bard's defense, he failed in the minors after the Red Sox messed with his mechanics. I was against the move to the rotation initially, but now that he's been stretched out we might as well see what he can do.

Tough break. He was struggling with injuries his last year here in Oakland. Looks like Beane knew just when to pull the trigger on a deal. Hopefully Reddick can pan out.

He hurt his thumb in a collision at first base, so I don't think you can chalk this one up to Billy Beane's psychic ability.
Redick is what he is, imo. A solid second division starter. I'd be more excited about Raul Alcantara, years away and very risky, but a potential #2 starter imo.

I think that's selling Reddick short. I've always been a big fan of his, so I guess I may be slightly bias. I think he could throw up a couple 4-5 WAR seasons.
