4/3: GM and Writer Announcements
4/4: Assembling of team staffs and war rooms begin; trading begins
4/5: Rosters frozen
4/6: Staffs finalized, trading continues
4/9: Draft begins |
| Quote: | Free Agency
There will be no free agency in this FFMD. Anyone who is not on an NFL roster as of Wednesday, April 4, is basically off limits to any team. Any player who was franchise tagged, transition tagged, or tendered as a restricted free agent is considered to be on the roster of that team. All rosters will be “frozen” as of close of NFL business on Wednesday, April 4th. Any real NFL transactions that occur after this date will not be taken into account for FFMD.
Trading
Any player who is on your roster can be traded. This includes players who were franchise tagged, transition tagged, and tendered as restricted free agents. As in past FFMD’s, trades will be passed through a Trade Council. The Trade Council aims to be accommodating and permissive, but please remember to follow these guidelines when making a trade:
- The GM or AGM of the trading team must post and approve the trade in the trade thread.
- Both teams need to make a post approving the trade.
- Compensatory picks cannot be traded.
- A GM/AGM must get approval from his staff before officially consummating a trade.
- Future picks may be traded, but not beyond 2013.
Salary Cap
For purposes of simplicity, teams will not have to adhere to a salary cap. Since there won’t be any free agent signings, salaries are already set. Teams are free to trade for players with high salaries, as long as they follow the other guidelines of trades (see above).

This is going to be a lot more fun not having to deal with the cap/contracts at all.. If anyone wants to participate just speak up, everyone will have equal say in decisions, so titles don't mean much of anything. (first come first serve, HC, OC, DC, etc) I will handle any trade negotiations that may come up (will always post possible offers in the war room), but everyone's focus should be on the draft.
Would like to start with evaluating our needs going into the draft.. Also- do you guys want me to make up a code sheet?
And a trade block..

I'll help as AGM if you wish.. since things should be simple... and I like simple. That way, I can help if needed to make the draft selections or approve trades. (if you somehow get too busy with life)
If someone else is active and wants AGM, fine by me, of course. Not really expecting much action, aside from drafting.
... you can use the same code list from FFMD I, if you want... (still have it) _________________

Hi Guys, just stopping by to see if there's any interest in any of our players on the block.
Pick #9
QB- Jimmy Clausen
RB-JStew or DWill, not both.
OT- Jeff Otah
DE/LB- Eric Norwood
WLB- Thomas Davis
CB- Captain Munnerlyn
CB- Darius Butler
FS- Sherrod Martin
If you have interest in any other players, just shoot me a PM. Some will be untouchable but we might be willing to move some for the right price. _________________

Getting some inquirys about Grant and Walker, what do you guys think should be the price? (or if they should be moved at all)
IMO we have no reason to go for a player on anyone's team, we should just be looking to the draft and maybe scooping up some more picks. _________________

Agreed. I want some picks. Can use as ammo to move up for what we want. I think grant is worth a fifth and delanie a fourth. But I know we probably won't get that. _________________ ***WE RUN THE WEST!***

I was thinking the opposite.. High-mid 4 for Grant and a 5th for Walker. _________________

Your more of an expert than I. I would say 4th for both. But with the lack of attention grant is getting for a tendered 7th (I thought somebody would grab him for a second), I thought a fifth would be good _________________ ***WE RUN THE WEST!***

Whoa man... we share a brain. I was about to say Grant a 4th and Walker a 5th. Grant is gone after this year, and we have Gooden to play back-up if need be. We should dangle him for the highest bidder. We could even get a 3rd for him, if we pimp him out properly. Walker, I'd wait till the draft. Maybe have a deal in place with some other team, that if we pick a TE in the first four rounds, we trade him for a fifth rounder. _________________

Yeah, get max value for Grant, if he's to be traded.
(no less than a 4th, and probably an early one at that)
We are flexing for our SuperBowl run this year. We may end up needing a strong backup ILB to play a game or so for Willis or Bowman. I have zero problems with keeping Grant to ourselves. Not much reason to weaken our team if the value we get in return is... mediocre. _________________
