The first 2 picks I would not be thrilled with.
Poe is not a good player. He had a good combine, but his tape shows differently of his ability with in game play. He would be a project player, something the Panthers cannot afford to invest in right now. Not worth the 9th overall pick, the main decision would be between Keuchly and Floyd, with Decastro as consideration as well.
Sanu is a no no. He have A LOT of depth on our team at WR. Sanu would get lost in the mix there. The only 2 prospects I could see us taking in at WR are Blackmon and Floyd because those guys are true game changers and will be very good players in the NFL.
I could live with the rest of the draft though. Would have been a good idea to pick up a PK or P in the later draft. _________________

I am wondering if you purposely made this draft horrible to be funny? This is the single worst mock draft for Carolina that I've seen to date. _________________ "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood

Nah, it's still tons better than the one mock floating around a while ago where we took 3 consecutive DE's, one of them being Coples. _________________

As others have said, Poe and Sanu aren't very good picks. I do like the 4th/5th/6th round picks, I think all 3 are good value and good positions. I don't know much about DeQuan Menzie, but it looks like he'll be a safety convert, and with the guys we signed (Nakamura, Reggie Smith) I don't think we'll be looking for a developmental safety anymore. And Patrick Witt isn't the type of QB we'd be drafting, Darron Thomas, Dominique Davis, or Jordan Jefferson would make more sense. |
