BENGALS NFL DRAFT
1a. Dre Kirkpatrick CB [Alabama]:
- Im 90% positive we are going to take a corner in round one. Whether we take one at 17 or 21 remains to be seen. Dre is a press man corner with long arms and nice hips for his size. Is a willing tackler and loves contact. He can develop over this year and line up with Leon Hall next year.
1b. Chandler Jones DE [Syracuse]:
- A kid skyrocketing up boards. Reports have surfaced he could go has early as the mid round 1. The Bengals are happy of what they got out of Dunlap on the left side of the line but lack any pass rush on the opposite side. Enter Jones. An extremely athletic and explosive specimen. Put up nice numbers at Syracuse. Fits the mold for a Bengals end at 6'5, 266, with 35 inch arms! He can easily maintain his speed and add 10 more pounds in the future.
2. Amini Silatolu OG [Midwestern State]:
- We've recently put in a ton of time with Silatolu. We apparently spent more than 3 hours with him in the film room and on the field. Fits the mold for our guards (6'4, 330+). Mauler with a mean streak. Can start day 1.
3. Marvin McNutt WR [Iowa]:
- Another guy we've shown a lot of interest in. Big physical receiver who can compete for the number 2 job. Put up great numbers at Iowa and is a proven play maker with nice hands.
4. Bernard Pierce RB [Temple]:
- Can compete in the backfield and bring some wiggle. Nice upside.
5a. Janzen Jackson S [McNeese State]:
- A former Vol, he's got a great all around game. Isn't afraid of contact and plays the ball well. A ricky pick because of his off the field problems, but i think were a team that takes a chance (ala Bernard Scott).
5b. Vontaze Burfict MLB [Arizona State]:
- Another risk reward pick. Marvin obviously spent time with him so he must see some potential for him to develop as a person and player.
5c. Ryan Davis DE/OLB [Bethune-Cook]:
- Bengals worked out this guy a while ago. He racked up a ton of sacks at a small school and displayed his athleticism and fluidity at his pro day.

Not a fan of Jones at 21. I do not think he is worth that high of a pick. I'm ok with the rest of the draft though _________________

Apologies, but I don't like this draft at all.
Dre is too light for my liking atm. Chandler Jones I wouldn't mind. The rest is a lot of risk besides McNutt. You went too much outside the box... _________________

I'd be ok with it. I'd change Malik Jackson to Jaye Howard though. Jackson was only 284 at the combine, as opposed to Howard's 302 and Howard put up near identical combine numbers.
I'm not a big believer in Jones, but if the Bengals took them there, i'd trust their judgement over anyones on this site. Especially since I can't see them taking a defensive player in rd 1 that Zimmer and Lewis don't sign off on. _________________

1A. I like it.
1B. Not crazy about it, but I like the idea of taking a DE early. I'd rather have Mercilus at 17 and a CB or Barron at 21.
2. Love it.
3. Like it.
4. Like the idea of DT here, not crazy about Jackson though.
5A. Like it. High upside pick and if it doesn't work out, just missing on a 5th rounder.
5B. See 5A.
5C. Don't know much about him
Would like to see a TE and RB drafted late though. |

| Changed it up a bit. Took out Malik Jackson for Bernard Pierce. We need a running back to compete with Scott. |

Pierce may not make it to our rd 3 pick, let alone rd 4 _________________
