Irvin standing next to him made him look small.

Irvin is a pretty good comparison for Blackmon. Irvin wasn't 6'4" and didn't have world-class speed, but no one tried to say Michael wasn't a #1 receiver in the NFL.

Ya,but you have to consider how young he is vs Irvin, who is fully grown. Blackmon will be his size, if not bigger, by the time its all said and done.

One new thing I took away from the videos is how humble Blackmon is. He talked about buying an apartment with his first pay check. When Irvin asked him why he wouldn't buy a new sports car or whatever and Justin replied that he had a Jeep Cherokee that he wasn't ready to get rid of yet.

He's not your typical prima madonna WR.

I know, but he picked up the tendencies of an NFL receiver so quickly. He's no CJ or AJ, but he's going to be a good one... for another team.

I just love his character and work ethic. I am interested in seeing him take a wonderlic test compared to other receivers. Just out of curiosity. Shouldn't mean much but i would take interest to it.

Looks like he has already started stocking up St. Louis colored gloves. Laughing

And why is Irvin coaching him to short arm passes over the middle?

He isn't saying to short arm them, he's coaching him to catch the balls with his body.

btw, when the hell did Irving get so freakin' ripped!? Jesus Christ! He could play Tight End!

Exactly, he showed him why he needs to cover the ball across the middle. Pull it in to your body before the big hit.

And yea, Irvin is JACKED for his age.

After watching that video, I would be more okay with trading down and taking Blackmon.

He has great potential, as long as Michael Irvin keeps coaching him Laughing

Early Sunday, Jaguars receiver Justin Blackmon landed in the back seat of a cruiser after being arrested for DUI. Breath testing revealed a sloppy-drunk 0.24 blood alcohol concentration.

Blackmon is subject to discipline under the substance-abuse policy. (The fact that he has yet to sign a contract won’t protect him; the moment he was drafted, Blackmon became subject to all league policies.) Under the policy, any disposition reflecting responsibility of any kind for the alleged crime exposes Blackmon to “a fine, suspension, or other appropriate discipline.”
