Its not an entirely new position. Techniques, instincts, experience all play the same. Its still corner. |

Tell that to Asante. You do realize that's the main reason he was traded, lack of versatility? _________________

Really? So its a fact that Asante cant play on the right side. And what is that huge difference to you? |

Yes it is a fact just look at his entire career. If someone is going to move to another side it won't be Asante Samuel. _________________

Considering Grimes played RCB in 2009, flipped to match up in 2010 and was just LCB in 2011, I think Grimes can play 2010 at RCB. even if Samuel is equal to Grimes at LCB, the Falcons improved the defense because Grimes is good on either side, and Robinson can play all 3 spots. _________________

Bill knows that it's smart to let a corner who's top 5 in coverage walk?
He's not a journeyman. WTF. |

Asante has been a stud. The Pats pass defense has been embarrassing. What does he know? |

Asante Samuel isn't top 5 in coverage, I don't care what metrics say he's always been a gambler who gets burnt sometimes because of it, he's not a Revis type CB. I'm not defending that guy for saying he let him go because he was bad, Bill knew he was a great CB but he simply wanted way too much money. _________________

I'm not defending that guy for saying he let him go because he was bad, Bill knew he was a great CB but he simply wanted way too much money. | In two years, he's given up a grand total of 437 yards. That's not enough for him to be getting burned.
What you're seeing is not reality, apparently.
Over the last two years, the only corner to outperform him in coverage is Revis...and these are not advanced metrics, so you don't have to get all confused and frightened and curl up into a ball because of big, scary change. These are regular old stats that have been around for a billion years and are accepted by everyone. They're the cuddly, comfortable teddy bear of stats. Embrace them.

47.5% completion percentage, 4.85 yards per attempt, 52.4 passer rating, 10 balls swatted, 3 picks

Where'd you get these stats? Thats interesting, I guess I just remember him from New England when he was just a big gambler. Glad you felt the need to be a huge [inappropriate/removed] though. _________________

Yeah, resort to name calling after he makes a good point that you don't have an answer to. The biggest sign of defeat there is. _________________

It had nothing to do with him making a good point, I was perfectly content with that until this "so you don't have to get all confused and frightened and curl up into a ball because of big, scary change.". Thats what aggravated me, thanks for your input though. Always appreciated. _________________
