Using the way the draft falls for you in this mock, the Saints picks should be.

3. Billy Winn - DE/DT The Saints will look for the BPA, but only have 3 DT's on the roster now, Bunkley, Ellis and Tom Johnson. Two FA's will probably not be re-signed. Since Winn is versatile, large and quick, look for Steve Spagnuolo, DC to tap him without hesitation. Will Smith, DE may also miss some time due to bounty gate. And, he may just be the BPA at #89.

4. Tony Bergstrom - OT, OG - Bergstrom might see playing time his rookie season. Zach Strief the starter at RT is actually more of a backup and depth at guard is also questionable. Again, BPA at a positon of need.

5. Taylor Thompson - TE/DE Thompson went to SMU because he wanted to play defense and was 1st team DE twice in the lowly Conference USA. But, he ran a 4.55 forty at his pro day and has lost down to 259 lbs. from 282 lbs. Advisors have told him his future is at TE where he played in high school. Oklahoma State and UCLA were recruiting him as a TE, but......
If he falls here, the Saints grab him.

6. Brandon Hardin - S/CB Hardin missed his senior season at Oregon State with a shoulder injury. But, his size of 6' 2 5/8", 222lbs. and the fact he ran in the 4.4's at his pro day suggest he has great upside. He played corner at Oregon State and has great cover skills for a safety!

7. Chris Greenwood - CB Another large player with speed who actually is a CB. For depth, I see the Saints selecting Greenwood or Ron Brooks here according to BPA at a position of some need and still available in your mock.

By the way, the Saints may sign a FA wideout, but will probably not spend a pick unless it is an obvious talent who fell way too far. They do have Arrington whom they like and Morgan (hurt last year) who is a burner to replace Meachum.
If the above players became Saints, this team would be even more scary than it is....mark my words.

Where the 9ers need to improve is on 3rd downs and red zone, which is all Offense. If Fleener is available there, the 9ers take him in the first and pair him with Vernon Davis in their numerous 2 and 3 TE sets.
