EL20 reads my mind I swear. I hink Jenkins was reached for and I don' see it happening. However, if it were to happen, I would trust Mayhew and Schwartz. But I think we could have traded down to get him. |
Jenkins is #8 on my big board with a possible 40 spot character variance (meaning I could see teams over-blowing his character issues and waiting until 48 to pick him), but I don't think he has bad character, but is a guy who likes weed and sex. I don't condone what he has done, but he can definitely overcome those problems. He is BY FAR the bpa IMO, and would not be worth the risk of losing through a trade down (wouldn't get past Broncos IMO).

He could easily be consudered BPA and multiple safeties are extremely helpful in today's NFL.

You fail to address the glaring hole at WR and RB. We have no playmakers on this team and passing on Blackmon, Floyd, Richardson would assure that we have no playmakers once again. |
The Browns will never get anywhere with McCoy. Tannehill is a very talented QB, and would probably be better than McCoy from day 1 (if not you guys can take the Locker route). Adding Martin gives you guys bookend tackles, and you still have #37 (where Kendall Wright, Miller, Hill, Randle, Martin, and Wilson could be available) AND you also get thew Jag 2nd rounder where you can take another one of those guys. |
Tannehil is no better than McCoy. McCoy put up superior numbers all through college. The guy would have been the 5th rated QB if Barkley and Jones came out. His stats are horrible for playing in a weak D conference and only playing 19 games at QB...not a chance he goes to Cleveland.
The problem is we need playmakers and not quantity anymore. We need guys at the top of the draft who are great players. Not the 2nd rung players.

1st off, I don't do drugs, and don't drink. 2nd, I think OG's are more important than OT's. A good interior pass rush has a 99.99% chance of killing a play. A good exterior pass rush has a 75-85% chance of killing a play. It takes a freak occurance for a good play to come out of an interior pass rush, but there is a reasonable chance to have a good play when there's a good exterior rush. That is one simple reason why OG's are more important than OT's (on my phone, so this post is taking a while), but if I had more time, I'd go more in depth. Also, DeCastro is my #2 rated prospect behind Luck.
