It seems like Osi Umenyiora and Steven Jackson can be had for modest draft pick compensation. Should Denver trade for them and deal with the financial implications?
I think yes for Osi and no for SJax. I think Osi would be a dynamic LDE to go with Doom and Von. _________________ I'm on a Dolphin, doin' flips and S***! |

Do you have a link? And I'd tak S-Jax for a lower round pick and a pay-cut. _________________

I take both players for no more than a 4th rounder each.
Osi is a headache with contracts.
SJax has A LOT of wear and tear on his body. Hasnt played a full season in a long time. _________________

Yes. I'd trade for Osi, but only a 4th or lower. _________________

Hopefully the Broncos can trade for Osi and the trade rumors that the Broncos will move up to 7th for Ingram can stop. _________________ Ninja stealth muggers in the Bellagio has left me in a state of congitive disonance... |

I think I heard some where S-Jax wants a raise. So I think that will be the reason he doesn't get moved. He doesn't want to take a pay cut. And the fact that if the Rams don't get Richardson they really can't afford to trade Jackson. _________________

Jeff Fisher was asked about Steven Jackson yesterday and he said if Jackson was being put out as trade bait, it's the first he's heard of it. He said that Jackson has been in the weight room everyday and he expects that Jackson will be running the ball for St. Louis next fall. Of course, that sort of statement never precludes a trade.
As for Osi, he had 9 sacks last year and 12, the year before. He's also 31. EFX have said that they will only be looking for young, up-and-coming talent of value.
Then they signed Banaan, a guy who was used up a couple of years ago. So, who knows. If you go by production alone, and age and price are no concern, then of course you sign Osi. |

In that case, they still would trade up. _________________

He's a one dimensional speed rusher on the decline that is 31 years old. _________________

Sounds like an upgrade over Elvis Dumervil to me. And he's not one-dimensional. You make him sound like a spin move artist. _________________ Stop slobbering over Brian Dawkins |
