Let's hope so. LMJ was one of the best college players I have ever seen _________________ RIP Darrent Williams |

Bolden could be a steal, from the scouting reports I read it sounds like he has the potential to be an elite CB. I'm not comfortable drafting a guy who has had a serious injury but in the 4th round I guess it's worth the risk.
Blake is an intriguing pick. Upgrading the interior OL depth was a must for us and something we all knew EXF were going to do this weekend. I wonder if they plan to put him at C or OG, but both Beadles and Walton are going to have their work cut out for them in camp. Only thing I really don't like is that he's 27 years old.
I'm not wild about Malik Jackson. He's got potential but he wasn't very productive at Tennessee and CBS has him as the #212 overall prospect and 6th-7th rounder. Sounds like another reach but maybe Fox, JDR and Magazu can develop him into a solid rotational player.
I'm thinking that given that Wolfe, Osweiler, Hillman and now Jackson are all pretty significant reaches EXF are working off of a smaller board. This draft is eerily similar to the McDaniels drafts of 2009 and 2010. If Elway isn't able to learn from the mistakes of the past, and promotes Matt Russell he should have fired him, I'm concerned about the long-term viability of Elway as the leader of this franchise. Am I alone? |
yes |
No you are not alone. A bunch of reaches, undersized players, and quite possibly ZERO starters. Lets hope Manning can carry this team (if he can stay upright since we did hardly anything to upgrade the O-line, although I do like Blake) because we are going to get run all over. BO is big though, maybe he can replace Beadles. | Every player we drafted, outside of Jackson, went in the range they were predicted to. I don't see why Wolfe wont be a starter with the DT's we have now. Wolfe is actually stout against the run, although he can overpursue. _________________

I think (but I could be wrong here) that champ+jay+al=SB is a youngin. Probably never had the pleasure of watching Bo play football in college, let alone watching him step on Brian Bozworths ear-ring! |

His career at Auburn was amazing. He averaged well over 6 yards a carry. For a bell cow back, that is astounding. _________________ GO BRONCOS! |

| I don't know much about any of our picks, so I guess I'll just have to wait and see. It seems to me though, for all that wild monkey dancin we did movin up and down the draft boards, we sure didn't end up with much. Think about this: We could have just as easily drafted Dont'a Hightower, traded our second for Jonathan Stewart, and probably still grabbed Wolfe in the 3rd. That's 2-3 high impact starters in PLACES OF NEED. Instead we ended up with a bunch of dudes no one's ever heard of. I guess time will tell. |

Remember Marcus Dupree?
I would put he and Hershal Walker in with Jackson. fun to remember some of those guys! _________________ I long for the days when giving your word, with a firm handshake, was the "signature on the contract." |
