Doesn't it feel a bit more secure knowing we aren't going to draft a DT in the 1st round that's projected to be a 3rd due to injury's of his hands, knees and back

JA draft and Bears elect with the #1 pick ? who you think

Emery draft and Bears select with the #1 pick. Coples/Mercilus

If Coples is there, him.

If Mercilus is there (assuming Coples is gone), him.

If Wright is there (assuming Coples & Mercilus are gone), him.

All JA did was draft Defensive Linemen so I'm guessing he would've been in his element this year. That being said, he'd probably find a way of reaching for a player like Devon Still with the 19th overall pick, rather than go with the obvious "pick" - atleast obvious to the fans here (i.e Jones, Coples, Mercilus, Kirkpatrick, Gilmore). JA rarely ever picked BPA, and if he did, it was based on a very unique perspective of who that BPA was.

Fletcher Cox or Chandler Jones

In the likely event both are gone - lets dream big...

Bruce Irvin or Stephen Hill

My preference too, although I might put Coples first. Doesn't really matter because him and Floyd aren't both going to be there most likely.

They're only a few teams before us that would target him. We may get him.

Angelo thought that BPA stood for Bust Potential Assured.

Coples
True, he may drop to us, Floyd will be gone IMO...but crazier things have happened.

Not sure I go with Coples though depending on who else is still on the board. I'm just not sold on him.
