I don't think there's an argument at all. This team has 0 safeties on the roster capable of starting, but they do have 2-3 corners who are capable.

The more I think about this pick, the more I hate it. We have two strong safeties now in Raymond and Smith. Sweet.

Very good pick, they needed leadership in the secondary, they got it, they needed someone who tackle, they got it, they needed someone who could hold onto the ball, they got it.

And since when was Reymond considered someone who would or should play?

Smith is a legit starting safety, no one else on this roster fits that bill. This was a very good pick.

Our scheme is so bleh that FS and SS are basically the same thing.

Besides, if Raymond is starting at all, I see him playing at FS. He played there last season, Jamarca Sanford played SS

Correct, they have Smith and no one else, that's why they needed a starting safety, maybe two.

Almost ANYONE is an upgrade at our Safety position, it's that pathetic.
