Laughing Did we really post those topics two minutes apart, more than four hours after the pick was made? We really are two men with one mind, my friend...

That is EASILY the best thing I've ever seen. Consider it stolen.

I love it. I think he's got a good chance to start the season consider we have a soft opening of sorts.

Very exciting time to be a Redskins fan.

This...

I'm excited to see him play in the B+G. Let's hope he does for us what he did for Baylor.

Is that a women's jersey E? I noticed it looks wide at the top (yeah boy! Very Happy ) skinny in the middle and then like wide in the bottom for the nice hips! Heck yeah!

Funny you point that out stap... Laughing people are changing their positions... Shocked Laughing
Anyways, Im not Changing my position. I don't think RG3 will be ready to start week 1. I think Shanahan is a coach that thinks win now always! We saw that last year before the season when he chose Grossman over beck, we saw it when he went back to Grossman when Beck struggled. Grossman knows this offense front and back, we have better weapons on this team at wr, hopefully Cooley is back to help at TE as a #2 TE now.

Shanahan is thinking playoffs, and until Rex shows that he can't get us to the playoffs again, Rex will start. I'll be shocked if Rex doesn't start the season and isn't given the opportunity for 4 to 8 games to make us a playoff team.

I am one of those people and I would still lean that way, honestly. However, the difference being is that I expect Griffin to eventually start in the 2012 season, regardless. The reason I wavered was when the schedule was released. The first six weeks is really quite soft and probably allows you to start RGIII right away. The last part of the season is brutal, so unless you want to sit RGIII the whole season (probably not), the best way to ease him in is to give him playing time against weaker opponents early in the season.

For me, it's all about the schedule. I don't think it's wise to put him in there halfway through the season and expect good things to happen. It's possible that Shanahan sticks with Rex, and if he stinks it up switches to RGIII during the bye week. After the bye week, these are the opponents:

11: Nov 18 - 1:00 PM ET - vs Eagles
12: Nov 22 - 4:15 PM ET - at Cowboys
13: Dec 03 - 8:30 PM ET - vs Giants
14: Dec 09 - 1:00 PM ET - vs Ravens
15: Dec 16 - 1:00 PM ET - at Browns
16: Dec 23 - 1:00 PM ET - at Eagles
17: Dec 30 - 1:00 PM ET - vs Cowboys

See what I mean? Brutal. Browns have a pretty good defense and will probably be pushing for the playoffs, so they will be just as tough as the others. Unless you plan to sit RGIII the whole season, you should start him week 1 so you don't throw him to the wolves aka. JPP, Ware, Suggs.

Footy...

Umm the browns will be pushing for the playoffs? What on God's green earth makes you believe that?

They have the Ravens, Steelers and Bengals in their division all playoff teams last year and I think all will be playoff teams again. Browns will have a lot of young players still, have no wrs for Weeden or McCoy to throw to. They won't win more than 6 games IMO.
