I just wonder how high he was on the Packers board. That boy is just about cut ideal for the LeBeau zone 30/Capers zone 30! I know there were some in our room that LOVED him.
Bet they had Gilmore over him but would not shock me one bit if Hayward was right there with the other high board CB's. _________________

You think he could be a decent SS if Peprah/MacMillian/and others fail to impress? |

Nope. Steel city!
My dad worked for the Bills when I was a kid. Father in law still there. _________________

Lets just hope he works out at CB. Not very big and cuts the legs to get ya down. Tackle willing, but not a plus by any means. _________________

Actually a Jarius Wright highlight but I couldn't help but notice our boy repeatedly shutting him down. Lulz. |
MeThinks with Woodson's age that's one of the reason they were so high on Hayward. Man has more than his share on good film inside and grades very well over that general slot body type. All about eyes, leverage, and ball skills in there. Hayward grades elite in all three.
LIS, I wonder how high he was on this Packers board? I don't know how much higher than he went you could take him because of needing help over the top. But that boy sure works well here for many reasons. _________________

| i can't believe Hayward flew so under my radar. Had no idea on his turnover and PD numbers. Would have been a lot higher on him otherwise methinks. |

Don't know how true it was, but I remember hearing/reading that he was the "worst case" scenario for Ted in the first round, and he had about 27 something first round talents. Again, not sure how much of it is true, but still interesting to read. _________________

Would not shock me if that's true. One of those players that the grade slot could be all over the board pending the system at hand. _________________

Plus, if you're picking 28th, you had better figure out 28 players you would be willing to take in the first round, and odds are a good that more than a few of those names will end up getting called on day 2. (Since some players just don't make sense for a specific team to draft high, given matters of roster and scheme.) |
