Got a guard... Would've thought C or OT was more important. Think

Not only that, but he's an OG who can't pass block.

I don't really get this pick. Confused

He's a fantastic run blocker. His pass blocking suffered because our C and RT both sucked. Probably ends up on the practice squad.

A little less enthused with the last 2 picks.

Atleast White fills a positional need, we needed an OT more than an OG I thought... Confused

But we have two great guard, neither of which are "old."

On the other hand, we have 2 aging OTs, who are average at best.

This pick was a downer.

Likley the top player on the board, adds solid depth on the interior. I think this means the Saints see Tennett as the center of the future.

Also, they have a very good insight on this kid through Doug Marone.

Look, I remember questioning the selection of Evans a while back... I question no more! If our scouting dept. and GM feel this was the right selection then I trust them... especially when it comes to the guard position.

I don't question the kid's ability at all, if the coaches like him, I like him. I just don't see OG as a need, at all.

Well aybe it does... if they want Tennett to focus more on center then this kid would then become a key reserve on the interior. He also played RT at one point so maybe he kills 2 birds with one stone as a swing guard/tackle reserve.

Just did quite a few readups on Nick Toon. All say the same thing...sure hands, uses his body well, runs clean crisp routes, lacks breakaway speed, will likely be great in the short and over the middle passing game as well as downfield blocking in the run game. Every thing I read about him sounds like a description of Colston. I think I will like this kid.

With our last pick, I really hope we pick either Cam Johnson/Alfonso Dennard/Chase Minnifield/James Brown

That's a decent DE prospect, 2 good CB prospects and a decent OT prospect.

Weird 7th round.

Dennard for me. Schefter said Minnifield was completely removed from some boards to to a knee injury.
