Clutts is as good as gone IMO.
One of Rodriguez's strengths is down-field blocking. And like AZ said, he offers so much more versatility than Clutts.
Emery even said at his press conference that Rodriguez "allowed them some roster flexibility" and I believe he specifically mentioned the FB spot.
I think the writing is on the wall for Clutts.
To me the question is who would you rather have on the roster...Tyler Clutts...Andre Smith or Kyle Adams?...
I would take Clutts far ahead of the other two.
I'm gunna go out on a limb and say Emery surprises everyone and keeps Unga as the 4th RB/H-back, allowing Rodriguez to be the primary H-back/Flex TE. Meaning Clutts, Smith, and Adams would likely be gone... I just have a weird feeling Clutts is as good as gone, same feeling with JT Thomas.. Although I like both players.
I don't think you have to worry bout Thomas, the last time the Bears stashed a rookie away on IR it was Henry Melton. They obviously saw somethin they really liked in him or he would have been released. _________________

Ahah Okay first of all Gamble was lost to IR this year but when healthy he proved to be 2nd only to Revis last season.
