He's a guy with good measurements and he seemed to be rather versatile at the Senior Bowl spending a fair bit of time in coverage. He was with the coaching staff that week, I think you have to be confident in the pick for that reason alone. _________________

Not much to say. A slow OLB that will likely be brought to the inside at this level.
He can tackle and hit with some force.
Wonder if Orakpo gave them any input on him. _________________

slow? he's extremely fast.... if there's a weakness in him, it's that he plays lazy because he relies too much on his natural speed.
where are you getting slow from? |

Slow for a pro level OLB in the 3-4 I believe. But about the right speed for the inside. Thats what I was meaning by slow. Not that hes generally slow.
He has good explosion that a ILB needs aswell. _________________

I was driving down from Pennsylvania and listening to the draft on Sirius Satellite radio. They could not stop loving on this guy, I really like this pick.
Very athletic
Underrated pass rusher, (CHECK HIS SWIM MOVE)
Rarely takes poor angles (a.k.a getting blown up)
Good Senior year stats: 106 tackles, 10 TFL, 1 sack, 2 FF.
Did not like what I saw in pass defense. Cannot cover as well as you'd like...

Robinson was one of the very first "OLB shifted to ILB" guys I proposed back in the fall as mid-round options, and I'm very happy to see him as the pick there in the 4th. I think he needs some work getting toughened up for the NFL game, and particularly with his willingness in taking on blocks, but he has the athleticism and the natural intelligence to learn under London and eventually step into that role.
The interesting thing about Robinson is that I was really impressed with his competitiveness in one of those "All-Star Competition" things, where they have the draft prospects running obstacle courses and the such. He and Melvin Ingram took it very seriously, whereas guys like Quentin Coples really didn't, and that matters to me. Guys who want to compete and want to win, even in a silly obstacle course competition, are the kind of guys I want on my team. I'm betting that's what the staff took note of at the Senior Bowl as well. _________________

Does he have knee injury concerns? Robinson has better length than Rocky, but I suppose there is some similarity in that both needed some weight training coming into the league. _________________

No injuries, to my knowledge...
But 3-4 ILB doesn't appear to be his natural position and he doesn't seem to create too many turnovers or do anything amazing.
He's a solid prospect.
I like Rocky, so I wasn't disrespecting him, but I want some explosiveness from the LB'ing core.
However, Orakpo-Fletcher-Riley-Kerrigan should be the starters.
Robinson could be very good on special teams.
Maybe, he's the new Khary Campbell. _________________ Don't be afraid to turn the lights on...

I was just wondering whether there was more to the comparison. In terms of explosiveness, I think that's Perry Riley and if Robinson becomes a starter, he's going to spend more time in coverage.
Lorenzo Alexander is the ST clinger. _________________

I saw that too E. And I noticed he wasn't as winded as some of the other guys who really bogged down at the end. I took note of him then and from what I've seen I'm glad they got him. _________________
