He'll get 100 yards during the game but you'll qhuestion how. 3 yards a pop type of guy. He's not that big. I see him almost once a week. He's solid though. Hope he does well. Makes me question how athletic the NFL really is working out with him. But he gives 110% |
I know he has slow timed speed but looking at the table he isn't blowing past ppl, but he looks to have average speed (enough ala Tim Hightower). Looking at the tape he looks like he has good vision and he runs with low gravity/good balance, thats why its hard to take him down unless you wrap him up.
This pick basically tells me that Tim probably wont be back.
How is his passing blocking skills? |

Hey it beats someone like Albert Haynesworth, who has talent, but obviously doesn't give 100%. Shanahan loves those guys who always give 100% every play. |
His Junior Film is actually pretty good, seeing him in person (Senior year) compared to that hihglight tape makes me question what happened. He didnt run no where near as inspired this year as his JR. I went to 3 home games this year and alot of the student body had his jersey on. The offense each game never went over 130 yards. FAU is horrible as a team, but even a normal person could see he didnt look like a good player at the games. If you guys get his JR ability you guys got a RB on your hands. Not his SR year, he was just bleh. _________________

Honestly I wouldnt know because the FAU Oline are so horrible, it wouldnt matter. During a pass play FAU had 2 WRs and one TE. 2 backs would stay in for Pass pro but still no one was open or the Qb got sacked. You can see it in the highlight tape he has to make his own holes due to his lackluster line.
FAU passing game is so bad we literally ran the ball on 4th and 13. My parents came down to the grand opening of the new FAU stadium. The entire stands were filled, 45000 people. Everyone left in the middle of the third due to that play. He just doesnt stand out and considering the Sun belt is pretty weak it makes one wonder. I plan to play for FAU next year because honestly hes not that athletic. I'd be FURIOUS if the Packers would have selected him. Good luck though, FAU Alumni deserve to ball out _________________

We didn't back move up. This was the pick we got from Minnesota for McNabb. Our natural sixth was traded to Arizona for Hightower. |

A lot of teams have passed on Polk. I think teams are worried about his ability to stay healthy. |

Don't know much about this guy, but looking at the highlight film he seems to have good vision, good lateral movement, explodes through the hole, and runs through tacklers. Looks like a good guy for goaline and short yardage situations. _________________ You play to win the game! -Herm Edwards |

| The more I hear about this guy the more I like him, I think we use him as RB/FB similiar to Le'ron Mclain when he was in Balt. He could be a valuable short yardage guy and a good pass protector. His upper needs some work, only 16 reps, but I think an NFL offseason in the weightroom will obviously help that which should remedy some of the fumble issues he's been having. IMO he makes the team as a RB/FB special teams guy |

Actually I wouldn't be surprised at all if he's off the team in two years. Only Shanny's reputation with RB's keeps from ripping it. Maybe he is figured to be more of a Goal-line Back? But seems he'd have to work on that fumbling problem... Oh well, we'll see.. _________________

I like your thinking Run from Landry. Sounds good to me. I was checking out some highlights from him and like others said, good vision, one cut, downhill runner. Seems like he's got a fighting chance to be our last rb on the roster but most likely hes a practice squad candidate and hes a 6th round pick, usually 6th and 7th round picks are practice squad candidates and not 53 man roster candidates. _________________

With Mike's history with RB's I will never question his decision's when it comes to this position. _________________

I don't know, he's my dark horse candidate to make the roster based on his versatility. Someone's probably already mentioned this but this pick looks alot like Shanahan picking Mike Anderson in the 6th. He's the perfect thunder to Helu's lightning |

They need a goal line/short yardage back to get a tough yard or two. Great pick if it works out. |
