There's a real good chance that the above 5 players are going to be our offensive line starters to start the 2012 NFL season. Compared to the defenses we're slated to face and the division we play in, how comfortable are you as a fan with that starting 5? How comfortable should Kevin Kolb/John Skelton be with that starting 5? How comfortable should Beanie Wells/Ryan Williams will be that starting 5? What are we looking at here, in YOUR opinion?

Its better then our line last year. I mean if levi plays like he did at the end of the season, then it will be a good line. I don't think snyder is going to start for very long though, and hoping one of the rookies step in.

Is it worlds better then last year Line? maybe. Guess it depends if Levi play like he did at the end of the year. Snyder a little bit of a upgrade over Hadnot. Massie should be a upgrade over Bridge.

The only rookie who could step in would be Kelemete(Potter's not a guard) and he's a long ways from that. He need at least a year with John Lott to be ready to even compete...at least.

Looks like we'll be running to the left quite a bit.

I felt like, toward the end of the year, I wasn't so much complaining about the offensive line nearly as much as receivers not seperating or balls being dropped.

I remember distinctly saying multiple times, "Well, can't blame the offensive line on that series, he had time."

Obviously if Levi can play anywhere near the level he ended on last year, we'll be in great shape. Colledge should benefit from a full offseason in the system, as should Snyder, who is a better player than Hadnot.

It would be interesting to see, as a team, where our RT play was from a year ago in terms of pass protection. It had to have been in the bottom third of the league if not worse.

That won't happen this year with Bobbie Massie's ability to pass protect.

Throw in the fact that both Kolb and Skelton should be more comfortable in the pocket and I think there's potential for this unit to be steady most of the season which is something I think most of us will take after the prior two.

We'll still run to the right an awful lot(Snyder's not bad in the run game), we'll just likely pull Colledge when we do it. Colledge is a great pulling guard. Phenomenal at it last year. ProFootball Focus ranked him as the 7th or 8th best guard in the league last season in the run game.

Snyder is a good pulling guard too, and has actually impressed me as a blocker in both facets of the game in the couple of games I have seen of him.

I'm excited to see how this line comes together. I expect Adam Snyder to upgrade the RG spot in both run blocking and pass protection. I'd like Massie starting at RT only after he earns that by improving strength and technique in run blocking - and the usual proving he's a hard worker off the field. Levi, Daryn, and Lyle also have to work hard and get better - and foster the development of the young guys.

Overall, it's just good to see some talented young guys come in to compete for spots. I expect decent improvement over last year - which shouldn't be that difficult.

Decent improvement, as funny as it sounds, could be tremendous for the Cardinals offense. A few more 3rd down conversions, with two RB's that can gain chunks of yardage (assume Williams comes back explosive and shows what he started to show last season).. this team could be pretty lethal. With a defense that was becoming very stingy and an offense that can put up an average of roughly 20 points per game while struggling.. imagine the possibilities.

we better get comfortable with that line, thats for sure.

i dont love the looks of it to be honest, but i do think we can win games with those guys. lets just hope Massie is the real deal, and didnt slide on draft day because he sucks.

I'm with you Smile - although I make a habit of tempering my off-season enthusiasm until I see the competition unfold in camp, and real game performances begin (to avoid disappointments ala the Eagles last year).

Kinda wish training camp started tomorrow Smile - but these guys need the off-season of work put in to gel.

I had heard he possibly dropped due to perceived lack of intensity and work-ethic (that was up on Bob Kemp's page over the weekend). In any case, he's got talent - and the performance we had at that position last year was not good - so, it's good to see the level of talent competing to fill that position upgraded.

You may not like it much - but I'm willing to bet it performs better than last year.

Snyder's a bum, Massie's a rook, Levi's a wildcard, Colledge is barely a starter in the NFL (and probably shouldn't be), and Sendlein is good, but nothing special. And he has a tendency to give up pressure up the middle.

Bleh.

Sounds like my guy Scott Wedige has a shot at competing for RG Very Happy......hopefully he impresses and at least makes the 53 man for his rookie year.....
