He seems like a poor mans eddie royal to me from what I can find on him. Just not the breakaway speed that Eddie has but he seems like he has potential to be a threat in the slot. I actually kinda like what I'm finding on him.

He's perfect for the slot IMO. People see the 4.5-4.6 40 at his size but what gets overlooked is his shuttle (3.9 and 3-cone (6.95). His short shuttle was the best out of all the WRs at the combine.
Another interesting fact is that he was only 44 catches behind Broyles for the NCAA record. If he would have gone back for his senior year he would have broken it. |

If Broyles played all season without tearing his ACL, the difference would have been higher than 44 catches.
See What I did there?
I like using stats and average but I don't like the "If" situation. _________________

Our undrafted free agents may mask our horrible draft. My guess is Page, Judie and Franklin make the squad with Remmers and Robinson on the practice squad. _________________

Very true. Either way we got one of the more productive receivers in NCAA history as an UDFA.
However, just for arguments sake, even if Broyles had played the whole season (he missed 4 out of 13 games), the record still would have likely been within reach.
That said, it doesn't matter because he DIDN'T beat the record. I just found that stat and thought it was interesting. |

Really excited about adding Robinson, tall WR who can add another demintion to our offince as a 5th/6th WR with some potential to grow.
Thrilled about Duke, one of my favorite players in the draft. Very versatile and instinctive player. Wounder where we place him? OlB or S. very well could just make this team on ST alone. _________________

How can you come to this conclusion when the players have yet to practice, or play a game for the Broncos. |

+1. It's really starting to get annoying how some people seem to think they know how this draft class for us will do. You don't know squat about it. I guarantee you haven't seen film on most of the players we've drafted. I say let's judge them after they've actually played in the NFL. _________________ Broncos-Bulls-Cubs-CU-Blackhawks |

Fair enough. I just think you should give players a chance first before you label a whole class of them as "horrible." _________________ Broncos-Bulls-Cubs-CU-Blackhawks |

Ok that was a little soundbitey from me.
But personally it's the worst I've felt coming out a draft since 09.
2010 we got 4 starters on the offensive side of the ball. I wish we could have number 25 back though could have added an impact player there or just kept the 2, 3 and 4 it cost to trade up.
Last year we revamped our defense and got Orlando Franklin. 2 starters so far on D Nate Irving and Rahim Moore should end up starting by 2013 at the latest as well so really 2011 was the formation of our identity on defense by EXF. They inherited a decent crop of young players on offense already.
This year was more of a split down the middle and I feel we reached for need a lot more than last year. Sometimes reaching for need can be ok if you're one or two spots away but I feel we need help on both sides of the ball at each level.
I'm not saying all 7 will be busts, but my gut instinct is in 3 years time we might compare this to the 2009 draft, where only 3 of our 10 players are still Broncos(one if which is a special teams player and another is likely cut this year, leaving Ayers as the line survivor) _________________

| A draft class almost never hits 100%. If half the guys turn out to be solid, it is a very successful draft. Calm down on crying about the draft. Cry in 3 years if it warrants but right now it is like freaking out about your new born's future wedding colors. |

Fair enough, I get where your coming from. Hopefully EXF's big board was right and the NFL draft experts board was wrong as there seemed to be a big difference. I guess only time can tell. I like the draft for the most part and I feel we've gotten one instant starter (Wolfe), two that have a good shot at playing early and often (Hillman and Blake), and two that have a good chance at starting later on, maybe not this year but in a couple years (Bolden and Osweiler). I also feel like Jackson is good depth along the DL. That's just my opinion on it and everyone has differing opinions. Hopefully it's not me just being optimistic.
PS I'm with you on Moore. I think he can be good for us. I think the lockout really hurt him and I think he'll show significant improvement coming into next year. _________________ Broncos-Bulls-Cubs-CU-Blackhawks |
