I think he'd be a better kickoff returner than punt returner. He had 4.43 speed (according to nfldraftscout) and it shows on the tape. He has poor vision and is not shifty. Sound more suited for kickoffs than punts. He's a hard worker apparently, he's said he be willing to play ST or defense just to make a roster. He said that he was disappointed in his proday and.thought it was mediocre (even though it was pretty good).

Hmm, yeah went to University of Alabama out of high school and is 6'1" 190. Sounds like he possibly could be a dark horse. Sounds like he's more of a safety than a corner, but we need both. Obviously he didn't make it for whatever reason at Alabama but if it was academic Schwartz said it best himself, "luckily we don't have classes".
I also read he blanked Julio Jones in a high school game one time. |
Yeah this article basically says the same. May not end up making the roster but someone to keep an eye on.

Scouts Inc. gave him a 5 (worst) for durability. Multiple ankle injuries, concussion/neck injury, shoulder injury. Below average bulk. |

| Carmen Messina was a great pick up. He should have been drafted. The guy is just a hard-nosed prolific player with great instincts. A real gem. |
