Jones was signed by the Texans as an UDFA and everyone thought this was a steal and that he had real potential to make the squad. On about the 3rd or 4th day of OTA's he quit the team and walked out never to return even though Kubiak has left the door open for him to return. He hasn't been heard from in a month.
Yup. I think he's CFL bound. He's got some talent, but there is a LOT of work to be put in to make an NFL roster...and he's not willing to put said work in.
So much for "the next Andre Johnson" as he called himself upon arrival in Houston.
WOW, he said that? What a tool. AJ hurt is 100x better than him _________________

Yes, at his first press conference ever in Houston right after signing his UDFA contract he said that he would make the starting roster this year and was going to be the next Andre Johnson. Many people were obviously put off by this but many others liked his arrogance and sense of confidence that it takes to play WR in the NFL. He then quit football a week later and hasn't been heard from since. Kubiak implied that Jones was overwhelmed by the mental aspect of the game coming at him so fast and was having a hard time adjusting and just needed a day off to get himself together and that he could come back to practice when he was ready. Like I said, he hasn't been heard from since. Hopefully he's back in North Carolina filling out Burger King applications and telling everyone how great he was. Note though that the Texans still haven't released him yet either.
