I don't know exactly who I would change and where, but I know for sure I would of grabbed Coty Sensabaugh in the 4th-5th range. He went to the Titans in the fourth so that's a good thing. _________________

I wanted him too, but he didn't last to our pick for him to be BPA. I wouldn't have taken him before the 4th rd. |

1. RR
2. Rueben Randle
3. Jayron Housley
4. Jared Crick
5. Zebrie Sanders
5. Terrell Manning
After that who knows. I just don't follow the lesser players enough. I do know would've pulled the trigger on Travis Lewis because in the late rounds there was just to much potential reward. _________________

That's a pretty good haul there, I like that. _________________

This year the draft was kind of a bust for me. I hate this new format so darned bad. I was away on Thursday and couldn't find a pub with the draft televised so I cut out on some friends to get back to the hotel.
I just don't have enough time any more either. To much work. That's not a complaint it's just interfering with how much time I get to spend on college ball.
I really miss being able to focus on the draft while it's happening. I would always be home have wings, jalapeņo poppers and make a weekend of football Emerson.
When the Broyles pick happened it shocked me. Not because the Lions selected him but I actually totally forgot about him. It's funny to because two of us were commenting that Randle was still available and I had a hunch he would be the pick. IMHO he was the most under rated receiver in the draft. _________________

That would have been a great draft. Dennard isn't much of a liability that far down and the young man has skills. _________________

Ill play. I was actually going to make this same thread in a few days once everyone got bored. Definatly will be fun to look back on. Also I wanna say this was hard even with the benefit of hindsight. I don't really pity mayhews job. That would be insane. Also I kept wanting to take secondary help but I'm not sure they were bpa till the later rounds so I understand mayhews process here.
23) Decastro - opted for him over rieff even though I like reiff. I think decastro is a probowler early. Even if I go rieff here it wouldn't change the rest of my draft.
54) LaMichael James RB - I think he would excel in our system. Love his vision and don't trust bests health. I wish Zach brown woulda fell here
85) Nigel Bradham LB FSU - love the athleticism. Tackling machine in college.
125) Jared Crick DE/DT NEB - bigger end. Replace kvb eventually. Plus pair back with suh.
138) Josh Norman CB CCU - I needed a corner. Love the size here. I like Greenwood but I that's more in extra hindsight and I would not have taken him here.
148) George Iloka S BSU - love his size definatly has the potential to cover the new breed of tight ends.
196) Tommy Streeter WR the U - height weight speed guy. Has the physical ability. Maybe like a Torrey Smith somewhere down the line.
223) Travis Lewis LB OU - think we all liked this pick. Super productive at OU could develop.
UDFA loved Moore pick up also woulda went for janzen Jackson S mcneese St.I don't even know if he was picked up by anyone.
Those are my picks can't wait to look back at this. Definatly should do this every year. _________________

I would have really liked that draft. I would have felt the same as I did with the real one, in which I am shaking my head after the 2nd pick. But after the rest plays out it turns out good. Reiff and decastro are a toss up for me. I still think taking the LT is so much more important than the OG. I get that Decastro may be the best OG in the game in a couple years, but I would take a top 10-15 LT over the best OG any day of the week and I think Reiff can be that. I could really get on board with it rounding out like that though. _________________

Im going to agree wig your reiff evaul. But on draft day I was saying decastro at the TV and not reiff so I stick with my gut there. Part of me thinks reiff will kick inside eventually so if that happens I figured just take the best guard. Honestly if reiff can be Backus or slighlty above Backus that pick is a home run. Maybe not a grand slam but a home run _________________

Decastro is a much more glaring need right now, but next year reiff will be a bigger need. It was nice to have our choice of falling O lineman there with all the top CB's gone. _________________

If I were Mayhew, but only with what I know right now, I probably would have done something to this effect:
1. David DeCastro
I liked him a lot more than Reiff. I still question just how effective Reiff will be at LT. The FO likes him there, but with the limited knowledge I have, I have DeCastro a lot higher and I think we could live with another year with the currect guys we have at OT.
2. Josh Robinson
Im fine with Broyles, but I love Robinson. Lots of raw talent there. He would have been our return man and I really think he could be a #1 CB.
3. Brandon Thompson
BPA pick. He is a perfect fit at DT in the Wide-9. I know we have a jillion DTs, but Thompson would replace C-Will's spot in the rotation the year after next or so.
4. Ronnell Lewis
I agreed with this pick. BPA, fits a potential need. Continue building the depth of the D-line for the long-haul.
5. Wouldnt have traded for Whitehead
The FO is high on him, but I know nothing of him. Wouldnt have done it.
6. Chris Geenwood
Good pick here. Like the Robinson pick, this guy has raw talent and could be a good corner.
7. Tommy Streeter
Tons of potential here. Could be worthless just as well as he could be a stud. Our WR corps are thin when looking at the long-term future.
8. Travis Lewis (This is the pick we traded in the Greenwood deal)
Another pick I agreed with. We know the talent is there. Lets see if he can translate it to the NFL.
9. Andrew Datko
Another boom.bust type pick. His injuries are a question mark, but no denying his talent. _________________

I agree. Like swatrz says you have to get infornt of your needs can't chase a moving target. If trades were allowed in this thing I'm going up for Kirkpatrick. By he chart our 1st and second plus a 2013 6th for Cincinnatis first and third would have got it done pretty much perfectly even. Probably would have still had a similar draft too. Probably would have grabbed Phillip Blake with their third _________________
