First of all, is he declaring?

Second of all, do you think he will play safety at the next level?

At 6'3 215 lb's, and with the speed and coverage skills he has, Smith definitely looks like he could be dominant safety at the next level.

He has been impossible not to notice tonight, several viscous hits.

No way he declares (IMO) and I don't see him as a safety. His coverage skills are not good enough. He's going to have to bulk up and try to make it as a LB. He's much better making plays at or behind the LOS than playing in space.

He can ball, but I dont think his hips are loose enough to consistently play Safety, teams would exploit the heck out of him

If he can bulk up some, he could be a pretty good linebacker. Has a penchant for making plays behind the LoS.
