I might be one of the only Bills fans who would welcome a move like this.
There's literally no huge risk at all and he's one of the best QBs remaining on the market. He's an instant upgrade to Thigpen and would at least give us a shot at winning if Fitz does go down. I'm not a huge Young fan but the guy has a resume (former 3rd overall pick and Pro Bowler) and has talent. He just has to reduce his INTs and needs to make better decisions with the ball. He's got the arm and he's got the mobility. Like previous posters said, Gailey could do him well. |

Only a reference to a Dream Team would've made this post better. _________________ With much cheese,

Yeah thais is correct. Thigpen shouldnt be a #2 in this league he is better suited as a third string QB, VY is more talented than Thigpen maybe not as smart, but IF we do sign VY it would just be for insurance. _________________

| As much as it pains me to admit it, I'm still a VY fan. Hopefully if he is signed, he keeps his mouth shut. If he screws this up, it be could be the end of VY in the NFL. |

Vince Young has all the physical tools, just not the mental maturity. |
Someone knows nothing about Fitzpatrick. During the first half of last year, he completed 65.4%, had 15 TDs and 9 ints., then during the second half of the year he dropped to 59.2%, 9 TDs and 14 ints.
Apparently, he must have just been lucky during the first 8 games. Unless his second half decline was affected by his starting LT being injured, his starting Center going to IR, the #1 RB in the NFL at the time (Fred Jackson) going to IR and Fitzpatrick playing with injured ribs. No, since Fitzpatrick is just bad, he must have had a lucky streak to start last year. |

Correlation does not equal causation. For all you know, Fitzpatrick could've fallen apart last season either way. Until he's able to put a complete season together, I'm still going to have my doubts about Fitzpatrick. Also, I never said Fitzpatrick was bad, just that he was pretty bad last year. Which isn't really opinion, its fact which anyone would conclude simply looking at the stat-line.
What is the harm of signing Vince Young and allowing him to compete with Ryan Fitzpatrick? I think its pretty un-debatable that Young has the higher ceiling. And if Fitzpatrick is as good as you seem to think, he should have no problem beating out Vince Young and holding the job from him. _________________ With much cheese,

Thats the thing. He wont come in to compete with Fitzy. He would compete with Tyler Thigpen for the #2 QB spot. _________________
