Both. They both suck.

Agreed. How any1 could think otherwise is beyond me.

I think it'd be a good signing for Buffalo. It's a shame it seems to take VY so long to grasp an offense, because he has some legit ability once he can see the plays develop at least a little.

VY/Brad Smith "wildcat"... (or specially designed package for both players with a spin-off name - wildbuffalo) would be interesting to watch, to say the least

Vince Young squandered his opportunity in Philadelphia, but lets not forget he looked pretty good as a Titan at times. If he signs, he is easily their most talented Quarterback. Ryan Fitzpatrick was pretty bad last year, I see no reason why Vince Young couldn't compete for the starting job and possibly win it if he is motivated enough. Vince Young has all the physical tools, just not the mental maturity.

Fitzpatrick played well before Fred Jackson got hurt. Once Fred went down, so did Fitz's #'s.

I think they would just call the formation: Buffalo Wild Wings. Laughing

Not a terrible signing. Get Young away from the media, let him learn a little from Gailey, and perhaps he can step in if things spiral downward. There are much worse backup options than Young.

Yeah, that and the stripclub fistfights, complete lack of leadership, bad work ethic, poor touch on short passes, mental fragility, constantly cramped hamstrings, embarrassing press conferences, attempts to take himself out of games, walking out while the coach was giving a speech, missing team flights, etc etc etc.

He and Eugene both suck out loud. One is gone and the other can't gtfo out quick enough!

lol, lets just act like he was completely horrid here. That'll work

Did those things not really happen?

Edit: And did fans and media not complain about it/cover it all constantly?

That's what was so maddening about Vince. You could see the potential there. That last minute drive to win the game against the Cardinals was probably one of the top 5 drives I have ever seen. He had that certain quality where he rose to the occasion when the game was on the line. Saw it in the Cards game, saw it in the Nat'l Championship game against USC. He was Tebow before Tebow was Tebow in that respect.

But you've got to have the complete package to lead a franchise and, as s_camp painfully recalled, there were more than a few instances where he showed he wasn't ready to lead. For every Cards drive, there's a Bucs game where he's sulking on the sidelines or a Chargers playoff game where he has to be talked into coming out of the locker room after the half. In a playoff game, no less!

All joking aside, I'm just not sure he's bright enough to grasp an NFL offense. I think he gets frustrated with it and then becomes less willing to put in extra work with the coaches and in the film room. Heck, if I was trying to take a nuclear physics class and just couldn't grasp it, the last thing I would want to do is spend every waking moment reminding myself that I don't get it! The coaches get fed up with that reluctance though and it's a downward spiral from there.

The guy has a good heart, as evidenced by his work with McNair's boys. A part of me will always hope he can pull it together and find success. But a part of me also resents the fact that we wasted so many years on a situation that ultimately failed.

Most Titan fans will agree he had his highs and his lows, but lets not act like VY didn't have a plentiful share of horrid moments here.

He had a decent rookie year with a few highlight reel runs that earned him OROY honors, he WAS horrid in 2007, he basically benched himself in 2008, and he barely lasted a full year as the starter in '09-'10 before having another meltdown.

I'm of the same sentiment as some other Titans fans. I don't think he's a bad guy, and I wish him well. But he just doesn't have it in him to lead a franchise.

I feel bad for Titans fans. Because you'll find out the same about Jake Locker soon.

What's the same about Locker and Young? On the field? Off the field?
