so thankfully someone on AP decided to make you tube videos for every snap Stanzi took in pre-season last year. It's been a long while since most of us have seen much of him beyond his TD throw in pre-season last year (that vid has been up for a while). Check them out and plz offer your quick hitting thoughts on all 3 games. I'll reserve mine (for now) as you alll already know I'm a big supporter. I will say he is certainly a gamer! Even in the face of stupid pressure his body language never looked deterred and he fought on.

Game 1
Game 2
Game 3

Any particular plays you want to comment on please add those as well (which video and approx time in video plz) as the more specific the discussion points are the better we can talk about them.

Lastly.. enjoy!!!

One of the things I'm most curious about this offseason is how Daboll's scheme compares to what we ran last season, in the sense of terminology and infrastructure. If it's pretty similar, that boosts a guy like Stanzi, who doesn't have to dump everything he learned last year, and can still come in and compete. I'm optimistic Stanzi gets a crack at competing for the starting job, but I have a weird feeling the Chiefs are trying to save him until 2013 for that attempt.

Also, I really liked 13 on Stanzi. Darn him for changing to 12. Razz

Game 1:
1:48 I really like how he avoided pressure. I just wish he would've thrown it away once out of the pocket.
2:00 I love the calmness with the pocket closing all around him. Dumps it off to the RB

Game 2:
0:01 I like how he drew in the defense to setup the screen. It's a shame the blocking wasn't there for the RB.
0:12 Great throw to Breaston in traffic which allowed Breaston to get yards after the catch
0:50 A bad pass, but I think it was more of a timing thing.
3:00 I think if Bowe is the WR it's caught.
3:08 Very tight window. A better LB probably would've knocked it down.
3:34 Bad pass that a WR should've knocked down instead of up for the INT.

Game 3:
0:10 Love the accurate seam pass
0:23 Good fake reverse. The LDE, OLB and maybe a couple others hesitated enough where a good RB could've done damage
2:45 Another good pass in the seam that was caught in stride
3:48 Great touch on the ball. Either our WR was getting it or no one was
4:15 Great fake. He still had 3 DLine guys going after him while the RB was running down field

With better OLine play than 2nd/3rd team and a good supporting cast I really think he has potential to be a Matt Schaub or even better QB.

If he becomes Matt Schaub minus the Injuries, he would have enough talent to lead this team to a Super Bowl

For no off-season or reps with the team outside of Training Camp, he looked good. A little rough around the edges, but a pocket passer with a bit of wiggle. Thanks for posting this. Will remember to keep a stronger eye on my dude Stanzi in the off-season.

I think it's important to note that he looked better from game 1 to 2 and then 2-3.

Really.. I still find it crazy he didnt play in that final pre-season game. Lol. Todd Haley.. unbelievable.
