Riley Reiff - I expect him to see immediate playing time at one of the tackle positions. Hes already better than Gosder, in my opinion.
Ryan Broyles - Hopefully he doesn't end up as another fragile Lion. If he doesn't, I expect him be PUP'd through week 6, and then start to see some action. A healthy Broyles will turn into our 2/3 receiver for 2013.
Ronnell Lewis - Will see immediate time on special teams, and will have a chance to serve a backup role somewhere. Not sure if he'll be a DE or a OLB specialist. Im leaning to DE. He's got the physical gifts and has a crazy high motor on him to play in the NFL.
Bill Bentley - Should see action in nickle and dime packages at the start of the season. He changes direction on a dime and is pretty fearless.
Tahir Whitehead- This guy should be another special teams demon. He's undersized for a starting linebacker role, I don't believe he'll ever crack that starting lineup.
Chris Greenwood - This is my favorite of all the corners we picked. He's far and away the most physically ready (speed, strength, size) of our cornerback draft class for the NFL. He just needs time to get used to the competition level. Should make the 53 roster as the last corner.
Jonte Green - I think he has no business on the 53 man roster as a corner, but could get looks at safety. Of all the guys I see getting cut or sent to practice squad, this is the first.
Travis Lewis - Great value for the 7th round. I know he didnt have the greatest combine, but I think injury concerns were the biggest thing for this guys drop. If he stays healthy, he should make the roster. If not, he'll be an IR player for 2 years and then out.
A pretty solid draft class at the second look. All but one or two should make the 53 (Green, Whitehead), and one should immediately make the starting lineup (Reiff). The rest have a lot of future potential. |
