Trade down for a extra 2nd rounder...
1: David DeCastro
2. Kendal Reyes
2. Casey Hayward
3. Sean Spence
4. Josh Chapman
4. Markelle Martin
Rds 5-7: Same
I think this would have been an amazing draft _________________

I read on dc.com that JJ said he would have taken Brockers at #14. But they would've traded down from 14 to 18 possibly to gain another 2nd rounder. I think the Bengals would have bit and Dallas would have traded down since DeCastro was on the board _________________

I'd have been especially in favor of the second one as I'm a big Ingram fan.
I think it's worth noting that Lewis, Iloka, Dennard, and Allen were all literally there for our taking when we drafted those positions, so our staff clearly had other guys they preferred to those guys. _________________

| So basically all you people want is for us to draft big names Mel Kiper talks about? Why would we draft Markelle in the 4th if he didn't go til the 6th? And why in the hell would we draft sean spence in the 3rd? I'd also be willing to bet Alfonso Dennard was taken off our draft board. |

Yeah, honestly. I guarantee Johnson turns out to be a better pro than Martin.
Martin is a poor tackler, takes horrible angles, and is more of an athlete than a football player. _________________

I dont see the benefit in this exercise. Bottom line it is impossible that we will ever fully agree with selections. The fact that the organization did see the same positions of need but based on their much more in depth process identified different prospects to fill the same roles should be a good sign. It is funny how soon people forget the drafts when it not only wasnt the player we wanted but not the position either. I think everyone is pretty satisfied with the positions we drafted. Some may have wanted to do more on o line or draft a true NT prospect but for the most part we can all agree that the positions drafted were spot on for the most part. Let's let the prospects we drafted and the ones people like that we didnt draft prove the front office right or wrong on the field. I am pretty sure that Redball and Co didnt get them all right and I am also pretty certain that some of the less known guys will be more productive than the guys listed in this thread. It is not an exact science. That said I am happy to see that Redball clearly has a formula and has stuck to it consistently in his time as what looks like the leading voice in the war room. _________________

I am happy with our draft and think everyone has a legitimate start at making an impact this year except Wilber, I am still not sold on him. _________________ Future Starting Safety for the Cowboys

Second of all, we already know that if we stayed put at 14 and 45, Jerry would have taken Brockers and Wagner, in that order. So really, all we are doing here is a mock draft after the draft has already happend |
Do we know that? Or did Jerry simply say that to make the fans feel a hell of a lot better about not having a second round pick? _________________

and trade down from 14 to 18 and pick up an additional 2nd round pick...ya right who was going to move up 4 spots and give up a 2nd round pick...Dallas moved up 8 spots to #6 overall for the best D player on most draft boards and gave up a 2nd rounder...no way anybody would give up more than a 3rd and more than likely a 4th is more realistic...

You think it matters to him what we think? They were going to take whoever they thought was the best player on their board at the time, whether we agree with it or not _________________
