I think Flynn will easily be the starter from what Ive read. He has a decent arm and is Aces with his accuacy. He will definitely get us deep into the playoffs this year with help relying on Lynch and our Top 3 Defense.
Tjack will be released prior to the season opener due to poor play and the fact we drafted Wilson. Im not a fan of Wilson but think he and all 5' 10 7/8" can beat out Tjack for our #2.
Wilson as stated above will progress into our #2 and over the next 3 years He starts exactly 4 games. (2 from sitting our franchise QB at the end of the 2013 season because we locked up home feild advantage)(2 because Flynn gets a boo boo on his throwing hand in 2012) then we trade him for 2 1st round picks to LA Jaguars (Gabbert is going to Bust)
Portis will show he can be a great back up and will be picked up off our practice squad and be Clevelands #2 behind Weeden after they give up on Colt McCoy early 2012. |

This competion is not as cut and dry as people are making it out to be. We have a legitment Quarterback competition going on. Flynn is by no means garenteed the starting spot, in fact he's going to have to earn that spot from Jackson. This is a battle will likely last all summer long. It appears that he is slightly in the lead after the first voluntary workouts.
I have my doubts about how much JS, and Carroll really wanted Flynn. He was only signed to a modest 3 year deal. They only jumped into the Flynn sweepstakes late in the game when they realized he could be had for peanuts. I have a feeling that they are luke warm on him, but they do recognize that he could be an decent, cheap option as a bridge QB. This is in-line with Carrolls "throw it and see what sticks" method.
Ultimately, Flynn will probably edge out Jackson, while Jackson serves as our second QB. Like Jackson it or not he is a servicable backup, and the only QB on our roster with meaningful game experience. Jackson is easily one of the better backups in football, he sticks this season. Wilson will become our third string QB, Portis will likely be on PS, although I wouldn't put it past Carroll to keep 4 QB's on the roster. |

Isn't it the same thing?
Seriously though, this whole competition is one big joke. Makes me want to punch Pete Carroll in the face. God I hate you Tarvaris. _________________

| You guys make it seem like theres going to be a competition. Matt Flynn IMO is going to be the best QB in the NFC West day one. Much closer to Matt Schaub in terms of the nuances of football(pocket presence, reading the defense and making the safe throws) than Kevin Kolb(panicky, forces things) |

You know what he means.
Pete can say it's a competition all he wants, but this thing is in the bag. In that sense, there is no competition for Flynn on this team. _________________

It's certainly NOT in the bag. Flynn is number two on the depth chart right now. If Carroll felt so strongly about Flynn he would have anointed him the starter right away. He didn't do that. Instead, Flynn is taking snaps with the second team. This is a legitment competition. Do I expect Flynn to win? Absolutely. Does that mean he is the uncontested starter already? No. This battle is going to go all the way through preseason with Flynn, and Jackson alternating first snaps. |

Even if Flynn is the sure fire starter he isn't going to tell us anyways he preaches competition i realize he didn't last season but those were special circumstances.
Although i do think from Training Camp Caroll was right on with naming Jackson the starter you didn't think it could get much worse then Whitehurst came in and everything completely stalled on offense. _________________

There's a better chance Tarvaris gets cut than beating out Flynn.
Hell, there's a better chance he gets hit by a bus in an Amish community. _________________
