| Great news for the Saints IMO. Vilma will be replaced by Lofton and Smith for 4 games is ok for me as well. |

So Shanle gets off scot-free? That's a pile of BS.

So I'm not going to lie... This may work out better for the team than if there were no suspensions. It will allow Lofton to play his natural position all season, hopefully someone can push Shanle out of the SLB starting job, but honestly, losing Vilma may help the team in the long run.
Smith might hurt a little bit, but it's only 4 games, so it's not too bad. _________________

Vilma... Expected
Smith... Actually great news, was expecting 8!
Fuggie... Who cares!
Hargrove... See Fuggie!
The absolute best is no safety suspensions! _________________

What a joke. An absolute travesty. Shanle gets off scot free. All this bull about wanting to protect the players and we end with this.
Seriously though, this get's a massive 'meh' from me.
Vilma is a good player and a decent vet, but his knees are shot and we really needed someone more effective in the middle. Lofton get's the MLB position for a whole season, which good and key in a Spags D.
Smith is also very meh imo. As a pass rusher he hasn't had success since Grant's lazy butt was on the team and as a run stopper he's gotten worse. I'm not convinced we're that much worse off with McBride at RE and Jordan at LE.
Goodell is a jerk, but all in all, I'm pretty happy. Harper is still around for 16 games so we don't lose our starting SS, more importantly we don't lose our starting FS in Jenkins. _________________

I just have 2 questions now.
1. Are there anymore to come or is this it?
2. Does Vilmas salaray still count against the cap for us this year? If so then do we cut him and save the cap room and make it that much easier to sign Brees and other people or do we just eat it this year and keep him on the team.
What do you guys think. Personal I like vilma but he is getting up in age and has been hurt most of the last 2 years. Next season he will be older and a year removed from football. I say we cut him and move on with Lofton and try to sign maybe a young MLB to learn from Lofton and Hawthorn.
So what yall say? _________________

1) I think this is all. Outside of the legal battles, the Bounty Scandal is winding down.
2) His salary doesn't count against us anyways, so keeping him around till the offseason to see how he looks doesn't hurt. I don't know if he takes up a roster spot though. That's my only question. _________________

You're delusional. During our Super Bowl run, which Grant wasn't a part of, he had 13 sacks. Past two years he's been battling injuries and a horrible defensive scheme.
Now I do think he needs to step up his game and improve on his 6 and 6.5 sack performances the past 2 seasons, but I don't think he's a long term solution anyways. _________________

Smiths regressed a ton the past few years, if you don't see that you're delusional. _________________
