One of the attorneys that works in my office building (his office is literally right next door to mine) does some criminal defense. He just got the best case EVER. I almost never post stuff but this is too funny to pass up.

So, client comes in his office and is out on bail for violating a restraining order. The client said that he didn't really even know about the restraining order. He broke with a girl about 6 months ago. According to him, she was really intoxicated and he told her to leave his apartment. She wouldn't leave. So, he took her stuff and threw it outside. When she went outside to get her purse, he locked the door.

She called the police. The police come over and he said that she was intoxicated and becoming violent so he removed her stuff and asked her to leave. The police don't arrest anybody and actually gave the chick a ride home because she was too drunk to drive and her appt was close.

They talk the next day. She remembers almost nothing. He then breaks up with her while she is sober so it is very clear that he wants nothing to do with her.

About a week later, she files a TRO saying that he threatened her that he would kill her if he ever saw her in the neighborhood again. He understood that he could appear in court to oppose the TRO, but said that he didn't care... he didn't want to see her anyway. He doesn't appear in court and the TRO is granted for 6 months.

5 months go by and he never hears from her or anything. Then, one day she sends him a text message saying, "I've still got you in my phone. Do you want me to delete you as a contact?" He responds, "I don't care. Why would you still want to contact me?" She responds, "well, maybe I want to see if I still excite you." She then send him a pic in semi see through blue lingerie.

This goes back and forth like this for 3 weeks... multiple pics including full on nude pics and some fairly graphic "texting" with a capital S. The client brought in all of the texts and pics. The girl is fairly attractive.

So, 3 days before the restraining order expired, she really ups the ante. She invites him over. He says he can't cause he's gotta work. 2 days before it expires, again she ups the ante. She tells him that he can do ANYTHING and I'll stop there. He says that he gets off work a midnight (24 hours before the TRO expires) and he'll be over. Keep in mind... he doesn't even know all of the details about the TRO. He got stuff in the mail but didn't really care because he considered the relationship over anyway.

He goes over there at midnight. Sure enough, she is DTF. They have fun until 4:00 a.m. He goes in the bathroom and she calls 911 without him knowing. He comes out of the bathroom and she is still really sweet and seduces him again (so he won't leave). Sure enough, the police show up right in the middle of them fooling around. She immediately gets off him, puts on a robe and runs to the door. She then starts screaming... "he raped me!!!. I have a restraining order against him!!!"

He shows the police the text messages, etc. The police conclude that there was no rape, but arrested him for violating the restraining order while there was less than 20 hours remaining on the restraining order and she clrealy invited him over.

Moral of the story...

Always get your lady a cab ride home.

Slam, that was a great story. Kinda feel bad for the guy. But, it is nice to know that there are guys out there with a worse love life than mine used to be.
