Just to clarify, most of our forum liked the Ryan Lindley selection. and most of us agree that he has a lot of potential to develop into a starting QB. But he is raw, and at this point he is competing for the number three spot on our depth chart...not number one.

So like I said, we like Lindley, we just think the article is far-fetched. Kolb or Skelton will be our starter this year. And if one of them gets injured or is playing poorly enough to be benched, then the other one will be given a chance to showcase his talent. I don't want to say there is no chance that Lindley will become our starter, because I said the same thing about John Skelton his rookie year, and he wound up starting four games because Matt Leinart couldn't complete a pass that wasn't a checkdown. And Dereck Anderson and Max Hall were beyond horrible. Skelton was a last resort that year, which is exactly what Ryan Lindley will be this year...a last resort.

Matt Leinart what? He wasn't even with the team out of training camp? What are you talking about?

well when we drafted Skelton in April, leinart was our starter. thats why i wanted to include his name. when Skelton was drafted, the plan was for Matt leinart to be the guy. and after we cut leinart, DA was the guy...then we gave Max Hall a shot...then back to DA. and then Skelton was given a shot to play.

Ok . You said he couldn't complete a pass that wasn't a checkdown. Wasn't sure what year you were talking about.
