nlesthought, I sent an invite to your email address but I don't think you've accepted it yet. If you are having trouble getting in, let me know, and I'll give you the league password.

I thought I did, I'll try again when I'm home in a hr, work restricts it.

I think all the divisions should have the same scoring so we can have an overall points leader for the regular season.

I think that's a good idea.

For our Dawkins Division, I purposely made a few slight changes, which I believe should be adopted by all Divisions.

Arrow minus a half point for missing a FG within 20 yards
Arrow minus 1 point for missing a PAT
Arrow 2 point bonus for QBs that throw for over 400 yards
Arrow 2 points for a RB who gets 200 yards rushing in one game
Arrow 2 points for a WR who gets 200 yards receiving in one game

Any thoughts on these scoring terms (for or against)?

I like the penalties, but I would ditch the bonuses. I would also add points for receptions

Please no ppr. I hate ppr. It rewards WRs that don't get as many YACs, and it rewards a player twice for doing the same thing.

If a WR gets 25 yards on three receptions, that should not be worth more than 25 yards in one reception.

It rewards players like Danny Amendola when any team in the world would rather have a Desean Jackson/Mike Wallace.

Varsity will stick with the rules already in place, deductions are made for close missed field goals already

How about losing a point for missed PATs?

And I don't like points per reception, either.

And Blah, other than the lost points for FGs (and maybe PATs if you agree) is everything else exactly the base scoring system on Yahoo?

Yeah XP loses a point, and Varsity runs PPR.

Think the defensive scoring is offset, bonus for shut out but up to -4 for 35+ points.

Everything else is basic I believe

Late to the party, but I'm definitely in to try and repeat my championship. Awaiting the challenge.

Ok, I got rid of the bonus for passing yards, rushing yards and receiving yards. I left the -.5 points for missed FGs inside of 20 yards, and -1 point for missed PATs. Everything else is standard Yahoo league scoring.

And I do not like points per reception, so I think we should take a vote within everyone who is participating in all divisions to determine whether or not we use that for every league.

Dawkins division, vote no for PPR

Same.

EDIT: If the other league is PPR I think I'll buck the trend and stay with Dawkins even if I win it.

There has to be a way you can retrieve it.

First off let me state I too hate PPR. However those are the rules Varsity has run off the past few seasons. Other leagues (Westy,Dawk) can do as they wish but in reality you'll be no different then say a College kid coming up to the Pro's next season. Cool It's like playing college rules when you know several things will change the following year "When" advanced? If you want to play with and succeed with the Big Dogs. You might want to adapt and practice with the Pups while you can. Just saying! Wink
