Hope so. That's a big loss. total blow to the "depth" on the DL if he's done before camp even begins. _________________

Bite the bullet, Trade a 6th to Philly for Antonio Dixon and keep it moving.... _________________ Murray State University Alum: Go Racers

I agree that a move should be made. Aubrayo Franklin is still looking for a job.... _________________ Cleveland Browns: We put the fun in dysfunction.

IMO, if that move were to be made, we would at least be as good as we were last season. The only problem is that they don't believe in Free Agency... _________________ Murray State University Alum: Go Racers

Franklin would be beast. i won't count on it though. the guys from last year Paxson and Schaffering did an admirable job at rotational DT for us. we'll need them to perform well again. _________________

More important than ever that Heckert was right in what he saw in Huges. _________________

kinda makes the Frostie Rucker signing look even better
i like the the rotation we could bring in to replace Uncle Phil...I wouldnt mind seeing a rotation of Rucker, Wynn, and Hughes! _________________

That'd be an excellent signing. Taylor is certainly better but Franklin would at least be serviceable. _________________ Cleveland Browns Forum Hall of Fame Inductee

I swear we are the most snake-bit franchise in modern history ~
Curse you aqua-scummmmmmmm!!!!
This wipes out the depth we drafted for, even assuming Hughes can come in and make a solid contribution - which I'm hoping obviously is the case. Winn's forte seems to be pass rush not run defense, which I would say is Paxson's deal as well. I like Paxson actually, though he did a good job as a rotational player, but honestly unless we want a repeat of over-worked DTs again this year we're going to have to acquire another, my guess is through a trade. There isn't much remaining on the FA market.
Our line just took a sizable hit - there's just no way to sugar-coat it. Now it's up to the FO to respond. |

yeah, i just hope our replacement DTs play well so we dont bring him back to soon and he can take his time. I rather lose him for a season than to see him seriosuly mess up his chest and lose him a couple years early to retirement _________________
