Osweiler and Robinson should have put on a show, they played together the last couple of years.

I'm fully aware of their chemistry. I just like Robinson. What does "wait till the actual NFL players take the field" mean? Not Every person on the 90 man roster will make the team. Not every person from last years roster is or will be on the team. Always room to grow. Laughing

I think he's saying that it's easy for these guys to look good in essentially a ramped up practice, but we'll see how good Gerell Robinson and the like are when they are facing a team full of NFL caliber starters.

I do think Hillman will make a big impact though.

Wolfe looks small in that picture, I doubt he's 295. I still am having a hard time seeing how Elway isn't worried about us getting pushed around up front in the running game, our DT's are pretty weak.

Elway's bet is that our Peyton-led offense is able to score enough that we force opposing offenses into pass, pass and pass some more to try to keep up situations and thus defending the run is only of secondary concern.

The thought is that our offense will score enough that we dictate the game by forcing our opponents to pass frequently. Elway's belief is that the NFL is a passing league and that if you can get after the opposing QB with a good pass rush and provide a good enough via the secondary, an offense that can score enough can win a Super Bowl. Hence we got Peyton Manning, signed a pair of TEs who excel as receivers (and as little else), signed two veteran CBs, drafted an UT who will be expected to rush the QB from the inside and used an early 3rd round pick on a scat-back.

Elway's plan might work as the NFL is becoming more and more pass-happy each year.

Exactly. I said a few times this offseason that this philosophy seemed rather obvious. Nearly every move Elway has made since taking control has been to improve Denver's abilities in the passing game either offensively or defensively. That is exactly where Elway believes the game is won and lost. He stated earlier in this season that the 4 most important positions are QB, edge rusher, LT, and CB. Essentially, passing and defending the pass.

Little shocking to see. He looks like a LB. Are the expecting him to anchor against the run?

All things points to him beings used as a penetrating DT, I think his responsibilities in the run game will reflect that. So, no.

Elway and Fox have been very consistent in calling him the "inside pass-rusher". Continually bringing up his college resume of dominating the interior of an offensive line.

My thoughts are that a combination of Ty Warren/Justin Bannan/Mitch Unrein/Sealver Siliga will be playing the NT position. Derek Wolfe/Ben Garland/Kevin Vickerson will be playing the UT position, acting as the pass rushing type.

Also, I forgot who said it but the idea of Siliga making the team because hes so stout against the run is very possible.

275 seems a little light to be playing UT. If Elway and Fox are bringing up his college resume, they should temper the fact he played in a poor conference. Totally different ballgame 'dominating' an interior Oline in the NFL.

I like Wolfe, but he's going to be limited IMO. Solid rotational player, never a great starter. He will need to beef up.

Where does the 275 come from? All I've heard is 290-295+. If he's only 275, he'd better be real quick. Wink

I dont know where you got 275? He weighed in at 295 at the combine. Thats plenty good for a UT.

My bad. I thought someone in here said 275. He doesn't look 295 in that pic. Could just be the angle.

He weighed in at his proday as 275.THough I was told that he was sick the weeks prior and lost weight.
If he wasnt sick I'd be worried about his ability to hold the weight on. but it said he played mostly at 290.
