You truly are random, jstthomp2007.
As to BurheadTitans, as far as I can gather there really haven't been any updates on any player thus far... _________________

Jackson has a high ceiling. He is one player I look forward to seeing this year. _________________ GO BRONCOS! |

I like Wolfe, but he's going to be limited IMO. Solid rotational player, never a great starter. He will need to beef up. |
That's about where I come down on Wolfe too and it's why selecting him where we did was such a disappointment. I think he can grow into being an average to slightly above-average starter but I don't see him becoming the dominant inside force this team desperately needs.
While the Broncos would never let this news out, I think their decisions to trade down and trade down again came back to bite them. There was someone (Upshaw, Martin, maybe even Fleener) that they expected to last to 36 who was unexpectedly taken between 25 and 36. Hence the reach on Wolfe. _________________ big_palooka:

The Wolfe discussions are eerily similar to ones Bronco Fans had in 1997. We drafted a relativley unknown, undersized ( 6' 5" 295 ), penetrating DT from a minor football program. By the middle of his rookie year all us fans were screaming "bust". Kid couldn't even suit up on Sundays.
Seems as though Trevor Pryce worked out pretty well in the long run. |

Where does the 275 come from? All I've heard is 290-295+. If he's only 275, he'd better be real quick. |
He weighed in at his proday as 275.THough I was told that he was sick the weeks prior and lost weight.
If he wasnt sick I'd be worried about his ability to hold the weight on. but it said he played mostly at 290. |
Small nit, he measured at 280 at Cincinnati's Pro Day, his lowest weight in years:

Trevor Pryce played Defensive End in college. He played Defensive End most of his career in the NFL too. But yeah, a great Defensive End no doubt. Ok Defensive Tackle. _________________ Stop slobbering over Brian Dawkins |

Maybe, but his most productive seasons were at DT. Most of his PB's and his all pro season were at DT also. Mighty versatile guy.
I just see lots of similarities between he and Wolfe. It'd be great if the final results were similaR. |

I'm just being my stubborn self. I will say to the death that players like Trevor Pryce and Cullen Jenkins are best at Defensive Ends in base defenses and this Defensive Tackle stuff is heresy. To me, Geno Atkins is a penetrating tackle and there's a such huge gap in terms of style and run defense between guys like Suh or Geno Atkins than say Cullen Jenkins or Trevor Pryce.
But yeah, Pryce could play Defensive Tackle too, no one can deny he was a versatile player. Also he never got the credit he deserved either, any lineman you want to name in the last 20 years of the Broncos franchise whether at Tackle or End doesn't hold a candle to Trevor Pryce in my opinion. We have had some solid players but none of them in that time period to me had the all-round skills that Pryce had. _________________ Stop slobbering over Brian Dawkins |

Fair enough.
As far as his value on the D-Line for Denver, there's Rich Jackson at the top, with a handful vying for 2nd best. Pryce has to be in that discussion.
Anyway, I read that Wolfe moved to NT on passing downs at Cinn. Seems like Pryce got a lot of his pressure between the guards. Couldn't guarantee it, just seems that way.
If Wolfe could even come close to that production in the middle our outside rushers would benefit greatly. Here's hopin'. |
