Welcome to the 1st annual Eagle Scout Award Ceremony!
Whats a Eagle Scout?
Great question! A Eagle Scout is a fan(short for fanatic) of the Philadelphia Eagles who lives and breathes for the draft, actively posts in off the season draft related topics , probably has a couple mock drafts out there floating, and he will instantly turn on his favorite prospect if drafted by a rival team , "i hate his guts, he will never be anything, count my words bro, count em".
Whats a Eagle Scout Award Ceremony?
Well thats another great question! A Eagle Award Ceremony is a special ceremony held after the draft to praise our hard working , active and intelligent Eagle Scout posters. I know i am not alone when i say we appreaciate every one of our peers on the Eagles forum who takes the extra time to make a good looking mock with some quality and thought to it. Or a poster who just watch 20 hours of games over a week takin notes on prospect trying to figure out who fits our system and then takes the time to pos about it, some of the socuting reports i have seen on here on prospects are beyond what you can get on any site or magazine, lets give these guys a award.
Awards will only be based on draft related topics, threads. mocks and any projects etc..We will get some sick i mean sick sigs made up! Promise!(Silo and Kilty are the best in the biz!!)
The Awards!

The Grand Master Scout Ceremony: Life Time Achievement Award - This will be "Draft Guys" HOF introduction ceremony. He is the poster who has been around the block with this draft thing a couple times. 3+ off season in the trenches on the Eagles forums. He is wise and intuitive, he has mocked with the greats, trolled with the worst, doesnt drink the Kool Aid and is on point most of the time with analysis, demonstrating his experience and knowledge of the draft process. We will introduce one Eagle scout every year as a new Grand Master Scout, so choose wisely the wisest of our your peers.
The Eagle Scout of the Year- Eagles poster who demonstrates the most quality and skill in his overall approach to all things prospect and draft related, can be any one from 1st off season to 5th, his quality and insight shined a greater light then the rest on the forum this off season leading up to the draft. He just seemed to really get it more then every one else, the prospects, the draft and our front office. Think MVP for "Draft Guy" .
Mock Draft of the Year - In my opinion this is the coolest award out of both the Baldies and Eagles Scout Ceremony.. Did you have a mock that was just insanely dead on or closer then any one elses, did you put some time in on it while others threw up garbage mocks, you proud, you did that quality son, that research, you put it together huh!? this is your award son! come get it!
The Golden Stopwatch Award - This is mini Mel Kiper, high in spirits, total draft nut, hes watching Colorado St vs Nevada Tech scouting cornerbacks and offensive guards going off about some kids 40 inch vert and his bubble. Hes active and always chattin it up sometimes nailing prospect dead on out of left field, sometimes its non sense but hes passionate and entertaining, drunk on the Kool Aid or some times hes spiking the Kool Aid. We all have a little of this guy in us, its a pretty awesome award.
Wings of Enlightenment Award - New poster who demonstrates a awesome touch for mock drafts, prospect thread activity,shows good overall quality and knowledge when posting on the draft. We all came here googling Eagles mock draft, lol we all got enlightened the same way , give this kid a award. We are stoked to have all you new guys, but some are more special then others. Excited to see all
new Mockers, come get your award bruh.
ATTENTION: If you feel there is another award that needs to be here, let us know , lets do it but i dont wanna go BCS bowl game on it bruh.
Time Line
Me and another Eagles patron will host the Eagles Scout Award Ceremony's a 2 weeks or so after the draft, we will strive to be as diplomatic and open minded to every ones schedule and solidify the exact date. But voting will open up right after the draft and i will be a pest about getting every one to vote , you can believe that.

see, i notice like 20 other guys who are exactly like that, they have a low post count overall cause they are just kinda "draft only guys".. There active and posting and contributing to the main attraction of this site, so a award for those guys is for sure in need and this is the platform to do so.

Now theres some purpose to that Mock.. Let me explain how this one will work.
Mock Draft of The Year is going be a sick award.
Every one will have a chance to enter a mock draft for mock of the year after the draft when its all said and done.
Then me and another veteran patron or moderator will collectively go through every ones entry, and narrow it down to a handful of the most accurate and quality mock drafts. Then we will post those in a thread for discussion to be compared by our peers and hold a vote via PM.
I expect other forums to mimic this idea once the word gets out

Hey B60 more info needed. Do we post our mocks here? Are there "points awarded" for getting positions correct? Hopefully just listing players sucks. Justifications/explanations should be a must? Those types of things. Mo, mo, mo info.

I think its a combo of both.
yea a hit or two on any round (cause nailing any picks is just sooo hard) or come with in a few picks of a certain prospect, or have a pretty good indication of where they were going with the draft prior to the draft, but overall quality of the draft will weigh heavy.
I know a couple posters last year had Watkins and the year before Graham(some one said we would trade up for Graham to!!), but if you nail a 3rd round and a 5th round and have the position of the 1st round down like say if we take a DE but its not Coples but you had Coples, then you get A+ my friend!
Do you think that is fair?

ya i was using this site originally just 4 the mocks 4 like 2 yrs b4 i actually joined the forum so like this idea alot 2 get us mostly draft only guys involved w these new awards idea. also this looks like a nice complement 2 the stuff that is left out from the baldie awards. |

No, i will make a new thread after the draft specifically for the "Mock Draft Of The Year" and it will be up to you submit your best mock in that thread and we will have a general discussion over the mocks just for the purpose of discussion.
Yes, positions correct in the correct round will count for something for sure , its so hard to be dead on , on lol anything in these mocks but we all kinda get something here and there, so we will try and weigh it best as we can. Quality overall to is a big part of it, if you hit 3 picks but there 10 different sizes of pictures from huge to small and the lay out is hard to get through and looks like you wrote it down on the back of a dirty Denny's napkin, its going to be hard to pull away with it.
McNabbMcFadden is going to co-host the event with me, we will have no personnel interest in the awards, and will try and collectively maybe even with the oversight of one of the moderators, bring it down to like 5 mocks.
Those 5 mocks then will be voted on by every one on the forum. I think it will be fair and work its self out.
Im very open for creative input on the process, we have lots of time to finalize the details of operation.
