One of the more important re-signings of the off-season for the Redskins as it gives them a veteran presence in the backfield for pass blocking and ensures that Roy Helu stays fresh.
Hope he is healthy by the time the season starts.

Not actually. Other than Roy Helu (change of pace and receiving back) and Evan Royster (solid 3rd string), there really isn't anything else. Alfred Morris (6th) might turn out to be a player but that remains to be seen. Otherwise, it's a whole bunch of young guys that they brought in to compete for a potential 4th spot or a PS spot. _________________

Still not sure why its assumed he had a great season. He was okay in Pass Protection but its not as if he was CP out there. Nor was he all that amazing a runner. He was having a good game till he got hurt, but that always seems to be the case with a Redskins player.
I'm pretty much neutral to his signing. I like having another guy in their to take the pounding, maybe having RGIII will open up the holes for him, but I'd much rather see Royster or Helu get the touches vs. Hightower. |

Would give Redskins the lead to resign him, if he plays well. _________________

Hightowe is a decent running back, good move by Washington. _________________ Why, if it isn't my old friend, Mr. McGreg. With a leg for an arm and an arm for a leg. |

I think it will be a good pickup. Helu and Hightower will be a nice tandem. _________________ With much cheese,

*Bitter fantasy player here*
I think it ensures Helu gets 15 carries one game, 2 the next. And whatever scrub is the 4th back will occasionally get 20.
That's all. Sorry for the attitude. _________________

Why do people quote stuff without posting? It completely ruins like everything.
This is a good signing for Washington. If Roy Helu develops into a good starting Runninback, Hightower becomes a very good #2 to have on the team.
I think its important to have atleast 2 solid Runningbacks on your team. Even if "Runningbacks are a dime a dozen", its still alot of work to do, and every hit counts. It just sucks to see RBs go down early because they are way overused in an offense.
In the case of Washington with a rookie QB at the helm, having 2 Runningbacks should be important. I like the move! _________________

And that's without even mentioning Evan Royster who had 110+ yards in both of his two starts last year.
Really like the re-addition of Hightower, nice veteran presence in what was originally an inexperienced backfield. _________________

| I still think Royster comes out to be their 2nd most productive back, I liked what I saw in him late in the season |
