with the 45th pick the Philadelphia Eagles select Jake Matthews OT Texas A&M
This is not a huge need for the Eagles, but he was a top 25 player on my board and to see him slipping into the 40's I had to jump on him. He has been a dominate LT so far at Texas A&M and with Jason Peters coming off a serious injury Matthews becomes an insurance policy and gives the Eagles a lot of flexibilty along the offensive line. The Eagles have their QB and LT of the future. |

With the 50th selection in the 2013 NFL Draft...
...The Cincinnati Bengals Select...
Margus Hunt, LE, Southern Methodist
| wrote: | | Although the Bengals were set on one player, we eventually decided that him being relatively unknown might allow him to fall to our next selection in the 4th round. However, one player we knew wouldn't make it was Margus Hunt. Although he's very new to football, he's shown the ability to pick up the game very well. His freak athleticism is his most intriguing quality and the Bengals have done well getting the most out of players who were more of athletes coming out of college, i.e Dunlap, Michael Johnson and Atkins. With Hunt and Johnson in on first and second down and Dunlap and Osi on third down and obviously pass-rushing situations, the bengals DE rotation is deadly. Combine with 5 talented DTs, the Bengals may have the best Dline in the league. |

With the 55th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select:
Florida WLB Jelani Jenkins
Note: With Leroy Hill on a 1-year contract and his future as a Seahawk up in the air, WLB needed attention early in this draft. Jelani Jenkins is a player that we simply couldn't pass up at this point in the draft as he has the physicality to play inside but the speed (reported 4.4 40) to play on the outside. We ask our outside backers to rush quite a bit in this scheme, and Jenkins absolutely has the athleticism to thrive in this role. He is exactly the type of freak athlete that Pete looks for in his defensive players. _________________

With the 58th pick of the 2013 NFL Draft, the New York Giants select DT Bennie Logan, LSU.
GM Jerry Reese: "We are very glad Bennie Logan is a Giant. We want to continue getting younger on defense and Logan is a great guy to put on the defensive line with other future stars in Linval Joseph and Marvin Austin. We like to keep our rotation deep and we feel taking Logan is the best pick we could've made in this position." _________________ GO G-MEN |

With The 60st Overall Pick In The 2013 NFL Draft The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Select Jonathan Brown, OLB, Illinois
| Quote: | | Coming into the season last year the Bucs have a bad linebacker core. They couldn't tackle and they didn't help in the run defense. The coaching staff didn't help but that's not the main reason. Last draft we drafted 2 Linebackers (David,Goode) David is set to be are Will and Goode is a good back-up Mike. Now we have Foster in the Mike spot which are coaches like him there. Now the Sam position we have Black but since giving him that big contract he hasn't shown that he is worth that money. We do have Watson as a back-up but we are looking for a starter. If Black can't do it this year then Brown and come in and start right way to make are LBing core as young as are front 4 and are back. Brown had a good year last year with 108 Tackles and 20.5 TFL and 6 sacks. |

With the 61st pick of the 2013 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens select OLB/DE Michael Buchanan, Illinois.
GM Ozzie Newsome: "Buchanan is a guy with a lot of talent and he will be a great addition to our 3-4 defense. He needs to add some power to his game but we are 100% confident that it is something he can work on and something that won't be a problem. We have great plans for this talented young man." _________________ GO G-MEN |
