That's a damn good signing to hold us over for a year. He's not young but he can still play. I'd really like this move, especially since it allows us to ditch Brandon Meriweather sooner rather than later.

Except Leonhard is still recovering and may have to be put on the PUP list. So, if Bell signs, he's not a bad guy to have. Yes, his age is a bit of an issue, but it adds to the competition.

And yes, one step closer to seeing Meriweather booted from the team.

This would be a good stop gap signing. I hope it's true, then we can cut Merriweather!! Cool

You sure??? I'm reading he could end up in Philly, KC, NyJ or Tenn

The player rep for free agent S Yeremiah Bell says his client will sign with a team within 24 hours.
Bell has flirted with the Eagles, Chiefs, Titans, and Jets. The 34-year-old's likeliest landing spots at this point appear to be Kansas City and Tennessee. May 17 - 11:39 AM

Of course I jut read this:

Quote:
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Eagles didn't sign free agent S Yeremiah Bell because they "think he's done."

The Eagles were one of the teams to kick the tires on Bell following his release from the Dolphins. Bell isn't known to have visited Philly, but visited the Jets in April and the Titans on Tuesday. Wherever he ends up, it sounds like he'll have a tough time locking down a roster spot. May 15 - 11:10 AM

Honestly I wadf in a rush but I caught it again later that night they reported that from drew Rousenhous and that coulda been a tactic to get money but they normally dont put that in the news segment like usually things like that are on the twitter feeds. But It did say there were other teams that were options but it said he decided here so idk ill look for a link but I thought it was bells words not good old Drew I promise I would have never posted that lol!

Nfl.com is reporting eagles or jets. Both teams have made him an offer and he is deciding between the two

Was just going to post that myself.
Pretty good deal. Shan and Hass must be happy enough with what we got.
