Here are some milestones for the up coming season that I will be tracking.
Jay Cutler with 9259 yards passing needs 2310 yards to move into second place all time for Bears passing yards.
Cutler also only need 6 more passing TDs to move into second for that category also.
Matt Forte with 4233 yards sits in 5th in all time rushing yards for the Bears and with an average season for him can move ahead of Gale Sayers into fourth place.
This is how bad the Bears WRs have been with an average Devin Hester receiving season of 513 yards he can move up to twelth all time receiving. (I'm hoping Marshall and/or Jeffery can change this)
Charles Tillman needs 5 interceptions to tie Gary Fencik for the most career intception all time for the Bears.
Charles Tillman needs 5 forced fumbles to tie Richard Dent for the most career forced fumbles all time for the Bears.
Brian Urlacher with 1 sack can move to fifth all time in sacks and with two can tie Alex Brown for fourth.
Julius Peppers with 10 would move into the eleventh spot all time.
It is going to take Robbie Gould three season at his average points per season to pass Kevin Butler, but he is firmly in second there.
Here's hoping to a healthy season for the Bears for these players to reach these milestones. _________________

After just three years Cutler is now in place to become 2nd all time in passing yds and TDs in THE HISTORY OF THE CHICAGO BEARS. _________________

Anyone, media included, who suggested what the all-too-common thought was after the NFC CG v Green Bay when he tore his MCL should read what you just wrote |

Cue the Monday Night Football graphic of number of QB's Chicago has had since GB traded for Brett Favre... _________________

If the Bears #2 pick, WR Jeffries can manage a solid, healthy career with the Bears, he has a decent chance at a HoF career.
If the Bears stay serious about passing the ball, Cutler can stay healthy with some longevity, Jefferies will be his guy.
A bit ridiculous for a team that dates to 1921, but Bears running backs and defenders take up a wing in Canton. _________________ "I have to keep playing so people over 40 will have somebody to root for on Sunday afternoons." George Blanda who played until he was 46 |

Larry Fitzgerald and Calvin Johnson have a decent chance at Canton.
Alshon Jeffery is a long shot. Let's wait until he gets a pro-bowl before we start the hall of fame talk |

It's actually a bit absurd. _________________

Funny, I was just looking at those stats last night. Jay is also 5000 and change from surpassing Luckman, so he should hit that in 2013. He's still way behind in TDs though.
Tillman has 30 picks and 27 FFs, according to Pro Football Reference, so he needs 3 FFs to hit the 30 picks/FFs club. I can't really confirm it, but I think Brian Dawkins is the only player who has been documented to have done this.
Hester is still one behind Deion for career non-offensive TDs.
The Bears have only had 3 WRs get 4000 receiving yards in their careers (Johnny Morris, Harlon Hill, Curtis Conway). Morris is the only WR with 5000 receiving yards (5059). Brandon Marshall had 4000 receiving yards in Denver alone.

If Brandon Hardin has a long, healthy, Hall of Fame worthy career, he'll have a shot at the Hall of Fame. |

Good one I'm going to add FFs to my spread sheet. _________________

Charles Woodson has 54 picks and 28 FFs in his career, so he also has a chance to be in that "club" soon.
I looked at it again, and I think it's correct that Dawkins is the only player to have done that (30 picks, 30 FFs), but keep in mind that forced fumbles wasn't really kept as a stat until the mid 80's I think. |

I notice that PFR if off on their stats a little, they probably update it right away and then don't go back and change it when the league does. _________________

Charles Tillman needs 5 forced fumbles to tie Richard Dent for the most career forced fumbles all time for the Bears. _________________
