Genre: Trance
Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zFVOHAx028&feature=related
Label: Lube
Release Year: 1998
Comments: Taking it back a little bit with this song, In my opinion this is the greatest trance song of all time and everything that trance SHOULD be, long buildups, faster bpm, those big synth melodies. Resurrection is a track that should be considered a classic but sadly got lost in time, hope you all enjoy the track as much as I have thru the years | Really enjoyed this one. Would like to see more like this one . |
Thanks man, I have such a soft spot for trance classics, expect ALOT more in this thread _________________

Beautiful. I've been thinkin' about getting into trance more. Also, the more I think about it, the more nervous I get that this will become a thread where I only post Skrillex, Flux Pavilion, Knife Party and Rusko. I have so much more of them than anyone else and I love so much of the tracks I have hahahah
And how DARE you post while at Knife Party. Because I KNOW you're going to the show in my honor. |

Cygnus X - The Orange Theme
Artist: Cygnus X
Song Title: The Orange Theme
Genre: Trance
Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bPXAm1rmFQ&hd=1
Label: Eye Q Records
Tempo: 148 BPM
Release Year: 1994
Comments: 1994 was a pretty amazing time in dance music history, the rave movement was in full force and genre's were being born and evolving. Trance had come into its own, and this track represents the roots of the genre. While it may not sound like much compared to modern day productions, theres a certain charm to it. The synths may not be the most complex but its just a damn well written tune, a classic as a matter of fact. Truly one of the most influential tracks in trance history, superstar DJ's such as Push and Deadmau5 have tried to remix it but none even come close to the original. Should also add that its from probably my favorite record label of all time, Eye Q Records. _________________

Not a bad track, but as you said there's nothing really that special about it, nothing that made me go wow, I do want to go to a rave now though... _________________

To see the magic of the track try listening to this later remix ( which Ferry Coresten had a hand in producing ). I believe this came out in 1999, if anything itll give you a good idea how production techniques changed. Listening to the original is kinda like a time warp, and for the time it was a revolutionary track, iconic.

I like that a lot, a lot more elements to it, the 'breakdown' in the middle was more to my liking, keeps you interested.
Now I REALLY want to go to a rave! _________________

well Goa Trance is awesome! Love psychedelic stuff, in all types of music, this is no exception, great track.
Any chance you can share some modern stuff you like so I can see the difference between stuff from the 90s to today? _________________

The V.S. is a pretty magical track man, gives me that rush like any amazing trance track should.
And for sure! Next couple tracks I post will be some of my favorite trance tracks from the last few years _________________
