Hank has said he's ready to go and Shanahan has said he's ready to go but Hank hasn't been too involved with offseason activites thus far. Rich says, he's done some light work at OTA's and caught passes off to the side. He hasn't done anything full speed with the offense yet, nor caught any passes from RG3.
| Quote: | All reports have been positive since then. When asked about Hankerson’s after last Thursday’s OTA, Shanahan said, “The hip is healed. We’ve got to get him back into football shape but he’s working extremely hard.”
But he cautioned against Hankerson working too hard. “We don’t want to overdo it so we don’t set him back. But the hip is healed.” |
I like the cautious approach with Hank's injury. We definitely want to make sure he is 100% healthy and in good football shape before we stick him back there full speed with the offense. As Rich says, Hank has missed a lot of time to develop last year with the lockout, then with his injury and he does need to be out there. I'm still glad they are being cautious about this though, Hank is very important to the future of our offense and RG3's future. We need to make sure he is 100% ready and around for the long hall. No point in rushing him back now, only to have a set back or something that could hurt him long term. _________________
