From my experience, 10-12 team leagues work best. Any bigger than that and you end up starting RBs and WRs who are only on the field for 10-15 plays a game. I also prefer PPR leagues as I think it adds another layer of strategy, but that's merely a personal preference.

We are 12-13 players right now, depending on whether bbgar is still in.

I agree regarding league size and I'd be open for PPR as well. Only one question: The PPR format does only add another scoring facet to the otherwise standard way of playing, right?

I think we should have a vote within the league for what the scoring format is. I would be against PPR, but I dont really care either way.

What I DO care about is fractional points. We have to have fractional points !!! Razz

Agreed on the fractional points.

I am not picky about the scoring, but I do agree with AAA that PPR is a good addition. It allows for more productive players to choose from, and adds to the strategy.

Fractional points sound sensible, PPR as an additional twist, too. Now, with 12-13 members...

-where would we set up the league? Any preferences?
-who could do that? Who has experience with that?
-what to do with the potentially uneven member number?

I've done yahoo and espn for fantasy and I think espn was better to use for fantasy. I'm open for whichever site everybody wants to use though.

Could be keen for a slice of this action. Afterall, every league needs a team to take on the mantle of making everyone else look like geniuses.

I typically use ESPN/NFL.com in my fantasy leagues. I prefer NFL.com, but could work with ESPN or Yahoo. I usually manage most of the leagues, so I would have no problem creating the league if everyone would be alright with that. Anyway, looking forward to a great fantasy season!

Thanks. Well, then it's either going to be you or broncospride95. With 13-14 members now. I'd prefer NFL.com as well. How about you guys?

-Yahoo is what we have done the last two years

-AAA has also done it the last two years. I nominate him

-Kill one member.

I'll let someone else create it. I'm fine with whoever wants to create it and I'm fine with yahoo or NFL.com

Okay, those of you who have shown interest in participating are:

1. bbgar
2. broncospride95
3. M-High-Marauder
4. paul-mac
5. AnAngryAmerican
6. jstthomp2007
7. AussieBronco66
8. lomaxgr
9. JerseysFinest27
10. Donut
11. Broncos_Rule23
12. whenmidgetsatak
13. Howie102

14. myself, BroncoinGermany

Now,

-either we have a keeper league with the size of 14 members.

-Or we make the cut at 12, meaning whenmidgetsatak and Howie102 are put on reserve until it turns out that one or two of the 12 original members do not participate after all.

Thus far, broncospride95, Broncos_Rule23 or AAA have expressed willigness/have been deemed worthy to set up the league on whatever site suits best. Would you three then care to decide among yourself who is going to set it up?

I would be happy to make it or let AAA make the league. If he has made it the past two years, I don't see there being any need in breaking the streak.

Either way, I'm just ready to kick-off some fantasy football!

14 is a good number because it means everybody plays each other once in the regular season. Means you don't really need divisions, just have the top6 Qualifying for the playoffs.
